I've not posted on here for a little while, but something happened on Saturday that genuinely surprised me.
We received two separate calls from couples who had been let down by their DJ.
Two calls. On the same day.
In nearly 30 years of working in the wedding and events industry, I've never known anything quite like it.
When you're planning a wedding or special event, your DJ isn't just someone who turns up and presses play. They're responsible for one of the most important parts of the day. They help create the atmosphere, manage key moments and keep the celebration flowing from start to finish.
That's why I always encourage couples to speak to their DJ before booking. Have a conversation. Get to know them. Ask questions. Build a relationship. Make sure they're invested in your event and understand what's important to you.
A good DJ should be easy to reach, professional in their communication and happy to discuss your plans. Most importantly, they should have contingency plans and backup arrangements in place should the unexpected ever happen.
At The London DJ, every event is treated with the seriousness it deserves. We have spent decades building a reputation based on reliability, preparation and professionalism, and in all that time we have never failed to attend a booked event.
Your wedding deserves more than a name on an invoice.
It deserves someone you trust.
Because when the day arrives, the last thing you should be worrying about is whether your DJ is going to turn up.
