🟢 We’re thrilled to welcome an exceptional international trio to our stage: Ian Bruce, Kev Green, and Katherina Bramkamp.
Hailing from Scotland, England and Germany, these terrific musicians bring a rich blend of voices, instruments, and stories. Expect a vibrant evening of traditional tunes and original songs that reflect their diverse roots — it’s going to be a joyful, foot-tapping night!

Special Guest Night on 5th March!

🟣 We’re delighted to have WEST MY FRIEND as part of their Northern UK tour. They’re a terrific duo from Western Canada, creating a unique sound with guitar, accordion and harmonies, featuring Eden Poynter (guitar & vocals) and Jeff Poynter (accordion & vocals).

🎶 Our next Session is tonight, Wednesday 5th February, 7.30 start, in the Village Centre at Raemartin Square, and we hope to see many of you there for another eclectic mix of music and poetry. Any kind of music and poetry is always welcome! Any age, any level. Beginner to virtuoso.

🎶 We also have some exciting news on Guest Nights with terrific musicians appearing in March and April, from Canada and Scotland. More on that tonight.

🎶 Come along if you can, to play, or sing, recite or just to listen!

🎶 It is only £2 to cover costs, and it’s a great night out. 🎶🎸🎤🎻🎶

This Wednesday, 9th October, the Village Centre Sessions welcome Hoolet, a trio of superb musicians and singers who guarantee a great evening of entertainment - not to be missed!

Starts at 7:30 pm (doors open 7:15) and tickets are £10.

Dear All - Well, the summer has fairly flown in! I say summer but you know what I mean! I hope your summer has been good.

It’s just a few days to our first Session of the new term on Wednesday 11th September and then every alternate Wednesday till 18th December. Then a short break for the Festive Season and starting again in the New Year!

Every Wednesday Session is our usual ‘sing around’, from 7:30–10pm, and of course the usual £2 entry.

This autumn, we also host a concert by Hoolet, a trio of superb musicians, on Wednesday 9th October. It promises to be a great evening of entertainment and tickets (£10 each) will sell out quickly so let me know soon how many you would like.

Hope to see many of you on Wednesday.

Hi Folks - yes we’ve reached the end of term and this Wednesday, 26 June, sees the final Session before the Summer Break, then we’ll be back September 11th. Who knows - to see the Season out we may even have to resort to biscuits/drink etc. We will certainly finish with lots of fun and music as always. So hope to see many of you on Wednesday. 7.30pm start - 10pm finish and of course the usual £2 entry.

🟢 At the previous Sessions on June 12th our guests were Lauren & Liss, who treated us to a terrific evening of entertainment in the VC. Their voices and harmonies were superb, their accompanying ukulele playing and charismatic style were great, and their eclectic mix of old and new songs had the audience tapping their feet and smiling all evening. It was a brilliant and memorable night all round.

As promised, a few more pictures from Music for Doddie. This time from Graham Rosie; many thanks Graham!
You may have seen Bill Clapperton's update on the West Linton page on Saturday 1st June mentioning that the total raised for My Name’5 Doddie Foundation was £5537. The total, thanks to the generosity of many, has now increased to £5552. That’s beyond pure dead braw!!

Here are some impressions of a remarkable day: fabulous music, wonderful community atmosphere and even the weather was kind. Over £5000 has been raised for Music for Doddie with more money still coming in.

Unfortunately, the weather during Edinburgh’s half marathon on Sunday 26th May was not so good. Ian and Ellen McCalman were running for ‘Music for Doddie’ and according to Ian the weather “wiz mingin” but the half marathon was done, RUN! No walking, just a bit of grit for a West Linton inspired worthy cause and their heroic efforts added at least £700 to the kitty. By the way, the photo of Ellen and Ian is entitled ‘Drookit’.

West Linton, you are wonderful. The Village Centre was packed all day with fine musicians and spectators - even the table outside was constantly busy. The weather responded with the sun smiling upon us. More was to follow at night when the Bowling Club resounded to the sounds of rocking music, and the audience responded with the rhythms of dancing feet.

The greatest sounds of all though were the chinking of coins and the rustle of notes as raffle tickets were bought by the strip-load and notes were dropped into buckets, while teas, coffees and cakes were laid before the throngs.
By the end of the day, volunteers and entertainers were exhausted..…. Had it all been worthwhile? Could we reach perhaps £3,000 for this special charity? Rumours suggested, dared to predict maybe £4,000, WOW!

So imagine the delight when the final tally reached the astounding figure of £5,000!! All due to you folks of Wonderful West Linton - to contributors, raffle sellers, volunteers, bakers, musicians, shopkeepers, businesses - indeed anyone and everyone involved - a heart felt thanks.
