I’m very pleased that my etching “Tree Shadows on Radnor Lane” has been selected for the Bath Society of Artists’ 121st Open Exhibition. The Exhibition, open to non-members, is held in the Victoria Art Gallery every year. It is the highlight of the Society’s calendar and a big social event not just for Bath’s artistic community, but also for others in the wider locality.

The Gallery will be open to the public from Saturday 19th September ‘26 to Saturday 7th September’26 from 10.30am until 5.00pm each day (except Mondays)

I’m printing a small coloured variable edition of my etching “The Light Seekers”. These wonderful oak trees are reaching for the sunlight in Abinger Roughs where I often walk. They arch over and almost form a tunnel over the path.

I’m looking forward to taking part in this fun exhibition with other artists from KAOS at the Penny School Gallery from 29th September-9th October. Lots of food inspired work; swipe to see my two hand-coloured drypoint prints of roadside food stalls I saw in India in January this year.
Private View Wednesday 30th September 5-7.30 pm and Bake-off finissage Friday 9th October 5-7.30 pm.

My mixed media drawing of the Hollow Tree in Hampstead Heath is in good company in the SGFA exhibition at the Royal Free Hospital until October 3rd. All the works in the exhibition are inspired by the area surrounding the hospital.
Thanks to Jennifer Jokhoo for the photos.

I have continued with Drawing August and here are the next 16 of my tree drawings. I will do the final one tomorrow which, because I did a couple of extras, will be number 33 which will not fit neatly into a grid. I have enjoyed working on the Briwn recycled paper with a limited monochrome selection of materials. Some of these drawings have sparked ideas for future work and I’m excited to get on with developing them further.

I delivered a selection of my framed and unframed work to the lovely Adam’s Gallery in Reigate today including these etchings.
Opened in 2020, Adam’s Gallery is an exciting gallery located in the heart of Reigate. Recognising a need for a creative gallery space in the town, artists Adam Green and Julie Groves founded Adam’s Gallery to provide a venue at which excellent original art could be viewed and bought.

Adam’s Gallery runs a series of curated shows throughout the year.

In the studio this afternoon I have started to edition my latest etching “Wyndham’s Oak”. This extraordinary ancient tree is in Dorset where it has stood for over a thousand years. The image is 29.5 x 24.5cm and is printed on Somerset Velvet 250gsm paper. It will be an edition of 30, all inked, wiped and printed by hand on my Rochat press.
