Eddie is a college student on his way to university, and he’d like to share his love of recycled printmaking and collage in a set of workshops before he goes!

He enjoys building images from layered, found materials and showing how easy it is to create something expressive using things you already have at home.

Thanks to Eddie’s generosity in offering his time, we’ve been able to price these workshops very attractively.

🌷🌹🌺Join us for a collaborative drawing and painting workshop inspired by shared still‑life arrangements, led by Gabby Graham.
Come and take part in a gentle, communal art session where we build something beautiful together. Working from simple floral still‑life arrangements, participants create individual sections that gradually merge into one large, vibrant mural.

🪻🌸🌼Using easy floral templates, observation drawing and expressive painting, each person contributes their own marks, colours and shapes. As the table fills, the separate pieces begin to connect, petals meeting stems, colours flowing into one another, until a single shared artwork emerges.

💐This workshop is about slowing down, noticing, and making alongside others. No experience is needed; the joy is in the collective process.
At the end, participants are invited to use a window‑mount card to frame a chosen section of the mural to take home. If you’d like your piece mounted, please bring £1.50 to pay directly to the tutor on the day.

📅 Saturday 25 July 2026
⏰ 2:00PM-4:30PM
🎟 £40.00 full price
🐦 £35.00 early bird price available until 11th July 2026

Our Creative Writing Competition Is Waiting For Your Story

Prompts - Folklore Edition ❄️
This week we’re dipping into ice folklore, Inuit stories, Nordic sagas, Russian winter tales, where ice halls, crystal palaces, and frozen castles appear again and again.

These places aren’t just scenery. They’re thresholds: mythic boundaries where spirits linger and worlds touch.

Your prompt:
Write about an ice‑built place that marks a crossing, a hall, palace, or frozen gateway where something shifts.

Let the architecture be the liminal space. Let the cold decide what happens next.

Deadline midnight 31 July 2026 - There's plenty of time but none to waste.

❄️ Writing Competition Reminder! ❄️

There’s something delicious about imagining ice‑built architecture and worlds while we’re all melting in a heatwave.

This creative spark comes from Ursula K. Le Guin, who filled Earthsea with ice structures that were never just buildings, they were thresholds, rituals, dangers, moments of change.

Your prompt:
Write a scene set in an environment built from ice, not for comfort or permanence, but for meaning.

Think:
– A place of initiation
– A temporary refuge
– A mythic boundary
– A structure shaped by climate, story, or necessity

Let the material do the worldbuilding. What does ice make possible? What does it forbid?

Deadline Midnight 31 July 2026 - there's plenty of time but none to waste.

🩷Rest & Restore is a guided wellbeing session to help you relax, reconnect and gently reset your energy.
If you’ve been holding a lot lately, this session offers a space to slow down and come back to yourself.
Through guided rest, gentle breath work, sound, and intuitive reflection, you’ll be supported in settling your body and giving yourself space to pause.
You’ll leave feeling calmer, and with a clearer sense of what you need moving forward.

🩷 These sessions are guided by Puja K McClymont, a wellbeing educator with over a decade of experience working with individuals and groups.
Inspired by her Indian heritage, Puja’s work draws from Vedic philosophy and a grounded understanding of how pressure and modern life impact the nervous system.

🩷 Please wear something comfortable and bring a yoga mat, notebook and pen, and water. You may also wish to bring a blanket, eye pillow/eye mask, or a cushion/support for your head, knees or back for added comfort.
