CADS is an amateur theatre group based in West Bromwich We are a group of non-professionals who get together to perform plays purely because we love drama.

CADS is a locally based amateur theatre group based in West Bromwich and have been going for around 75 years. Our membership comprises of actors, backstage crew and front of house personnel, and we are always open to new people who are interested in these areas. Being a NODA member, CADS receives patronage from award-winning actress Julie Walters, and has won numerous awards within NODA West Midla

We’re holding a play reading for our latest show, the dark gothic, comedy thriller: A Tomb With A View and want anyone who is passionate about theatre, whether acting or backstage.

If you want a chance to gain experience, build skills for your theatre CV, or just want to be part of a fun community led show this is the place. No “right look” needed everyone who applies will be welcomed.

🎉 CADS is pleased to officially announce that our next production is "A Tomb with a View" by Norman Robbins. 🎉

🎭⚰️ "A Tomb with a View" is a comedy-thriller play. It is a classic "whodunit" mystery characterized by its dark humor, eccentric characters, and set in an eerie old Mansion known as "the Tomb"

The story focuses on the Tomb family, a wealthy but peculiar family who gather for the reading of their late father's will. They are also joined by a mystery guest. The characters are eccentric, and the plot is filled with twists, turns, and murders. What will happen? Will more deaths occur? But most importantly who will get the family fortune? ⚰️🎭

Our first reading will be held on Tuesday 19th May at 7:30pm, with auditions to be held the following week on Tuesday 26th and Thursday 28th May at 7:30pm.

All will be held within Gayton Road Community Centre, West Bromwich.⚡️

Yesterday, at CADS’ AGM, we celebrated some very important people to us.

David Payne JP, who has been our President for 8 years, has stepped down from that position but has been welcomed as a Life Member.

Richard Corrado, who has been a member of CADS for numerous years on stage and as Bar Manager, has graciously stepped into the President position.

We thank them both for all their service, and hope these awards help show our appreciation.

There were new faces on new jobs and we thank them for stepping in to help us at CADS put on a fabulous show.
