Mimic Theatre Company was founded in April 2018 by Kim Southey. The Youth Theatre Company runs weekly classes throughout term time and puts on shows every term. Since it's creation, our students have enjoyed regular public performances and theatre productions, as well as opportunities to further their skillset in all areas such as acting technique, devising, improv, script work, puppetry, stage co

mbat, mask work and much more. They have also had the opportunity to gain skills and experience in areas off stage with guest workshops by industry professionals, such as playwriting, filmmaking, working in TV, special effects makeup and much more. Mimic Youth Theatre also offers summer workshops, trips to West End and Fringe shows, and the chance to audition for and take part in professional work. At Mimic, we learn by doing, so we are always working towards a production or showcase alongside regular sessions. We believe in our students, which is why we offer our training at very affordable rates and offer discounts for multiple classes and siblings. Alongside Mimic Youth Theatre, we also offer a stage school in Performing Arts, which includes intensive and casual training in Singing, Acting and Dancing, further opportunities to perform in large theatres, as well as classes in Acro Dance.

We are incredibly excited to announce that Mimic Theatre Company will now be producing touring pantomimes, previously presented by Mance Productions! 🎭✨

This is a hugely exciting new chapter for us, and we can’t wait to continue bringing magical, family-friendly pantomime to primary schools across the UK!

Stay tuned for the announcement of our very first touring pantomime production, along with casting and audition dates coming later this year! 👀🌟

Our brand new “Musical Choir” is officially OPEN!

We had so much fun at our first session last week and we cant wait to open our friendly doors to everyone. If you love musical theatre and enjoying singing with friends and family in relaxed, no pressure surroundings then this one’s for you!

Open to all adults and children aged 9 and above!

Our next “Connect, Create & Collaborate!” session takes place NEXT WEEK!

Collective Storytelling and Networking Workshops with a playground of creativity for actors, writers, producers and directors alike! Led by award-winning director and playwright Kim Southey and hosted in collaboration with and , these sessions will give local creatives opportunities to develop new and existing projects with time and space to create, as well as joining an exciting network that will provide upcoming opportunities for all involved including a showcase project at Beam later in the year.

We’re offering something new! As part of our initiative to bring youth and adult creatives together, we will be opening a brand new singing group - open to all ages!

If you’ve ever wanted to sing in a low-pressure, fun environment or enjoy singing with your family, this one’s for you!

Our Mimic Musicals Choir has two offerings:
- Mondays from 7:30-9pm in Tewin
- Thursdays from 7:15-8:45pm in WGC
