I’ve been wanting to try hand-painted chalkboards for a while, so I finally gave it a go for the first time 🌸

This was created for who wanted a genuine chalk finish so it can be easily wiped clean and updated whenever they fancy a fresh new look

I love that a hand-painted chalkboard does so much more than share information. It’s another way to show off a business’s personality, catch the eye of people walking by, and create a lovely first impression

I matched the style and colours to the salon’s window display so everything ties together, giving the business a consistent look and helping the brand stand out even more 🌺

I’d never painted a banner before, but when the bride asked me, I was more than happy to say yes!

I absolutely loved creating something so personal for their special day 💘

Now the big decision.. should I add hand-painted celebration banners to my business? 🪩

Practice leads to progress 🧜🏻‍♀️

A year ago I started using paint and brushes instead of just paint pens, and I haven’t looked back. It gives me so much more freedom to mix and blend my own colours, work on a much larger scale, and create more detailed window displays

I still have lots to learn, and I’m definitely my own worst critic. I’ll look at photos of a window I’ve just finished and immediately think, “I should have added this,” or “I could have done that.” 🙈

But it’s nice to look back at old photos and see the journey
