hi, front door theatre friends.

i’ve been taking the time, a month now exactly, to reflect on what has been a surreal experience. ending this show broke my heart in so many ways, but it also toughened my resolve. what an incredible, surreal, dreamy experience. i could not have found a better way to fall in love with performing again 🥹❤️

I’ve met incredible people, walked an incredible path, and realised exactly what I need to be doing. playing lysander will be something i remember for a very long time. it is a milestone, the next one will be on a path into the unknown. i don’t know for sure what’s ahead yet, but im grateful i get to walk it with all of you 🩵

thank you to including steve and lou for putting your complete trust in me. thank you to everyone ive worked with, actors, tech and house staff. and thank you to those who came to see it and make each night ever more magical 🪄🌳

time to close the book. 📕

FIVE DAYS UNTIL A MIDSUMMER NIGHTS DREAM RETURNS HOME TO WELWYN GARDEN CITY, 100 YEARS ON ✨🌙🪾

Follow me and my incredible friends at the illustrious Barn Theatre as I take on the role of Lysander: a rebel and a bit of a poet! 🥰

Lysander joins his fellow Athenian court members for a very awkward engagement party, with Duke Theseus’ wife-to-be Hippolyta less than amicable with him. Things are no better for Lysander and his lover Hermia, with Hermia forced to either resign herself to an arranged marriage with Demetrius, or be put to death by law.

However, Lysander has seemingly the perfect plan: elope, far outside of Athens’s borders where they cannot be pursued. What seemed like the perfect plan quickly went sour as Lysander is subject to a divine prank, and a case of mistaken identity. The misapplication of a love herb by Fairy Spirit, Puck causes him to fall in love with Helena, Hermia’s best friend who has been relentlessly pursuing Demetrius. All four lovers are eventually caught up in a ludicrous scenario they cannot understand, and a fierce quarrel is inevitable. And this is far from the only chaos caused by the actions of Fairy King, Oberon.

Time is running out before sunrise: the day of Theseus’ wedding. Will Oberon mend his bridges with Titania? Can the Mechanicals save their play in time for the wedding? And, is there any hope to rescue Lysander and Hermia, Helena and Demetrius from the inexplicable crisis they find themselves in?

All will be revealed in this historical running of William Shakespeare’s Magnum Opus, directed by the fabulous Lou Wallace and Steve Thompson. Celebrating 100 years since this play was performed in The Dell in Welwyn Garden City, Barn newcomers meet Barn veterans to take you through three different worlds. With over 80% of tickets gone before we even begin, it will be an unmissable experience 🤩

a lyrical lover on the wrong side of fate, and a fairy king’s prank ✨🤭

one year on from my last collaboration with we are straight. I have three costumes for this show, but this one was goated and i had to take it for a spin 🤩✨

some incredible conversations, wicked photos and a great walk all around, it was phenomenal to work with Roxanne again, in a quasi celebration of one of the best roles I’ve ever had; as well as more for the portfolio.

i think this all speaks for itself, no? and maybe this will convince you to come see me and my incredible friends at for the A Midsummer Night’s Dream centenary. 🥹

1 year ago on this day, Tick, Tick… BOOM! closed after an incredible three-show run.

absolutely wild that it has been a year since we wrapped this incredible performance up. to date, it is the best performance i have ever done.

three actors, four-piece band. one goal: deliver. even through the turbulent times and uncertainties, ive never had an environment so laser-focused on succeeding, yet able to have so much fun. 🥹

i am grateful i chose to keep this account and maintain it. i made a theatre account for one of my assessments, but i never felt so attached to it as i did with this. the front door theatre moniker always felt so close to home (ironically in sense), and with such an incredible show forever tied to it, how could i not want to keep going? ✨

jonathan larson, you are a visionary. if you can see this, i hope i did you proud. in such a chaotic, turbulent world, we need creatives like around, who aren’t afraid to call bu****it when they see it. thank you for this incredible music and story.

and, of course. thank you to all of you. i am so proud of the community i have here. through the uncertainly of my post-uni days, ive found my charted course and my purpose. i am so grateful for where it has led me. 💛

and next month’s show might be the best one yet. i feel im finding my place at last and it feels so good 🥰

What is quite possibly my best kept secret in ages (as a serial yapper), I am delighted to announce that I am playing the poetic lover Lysander in A Midsummer Night’s Dream 🤩🌙

🐣 HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE! And my god, have I been electrified down to the bone about this. This is my first show with and the sheer disbelief and gratitude I feel being able to represent this incredible part is still felt.

💤🪵 This is probably Shakespeare’s best work, and I am performing in one of the most historic, prestigious theatres in the entire county of Hertfordshire. None of it feels real (that wasn’t a joke on the plot of AMND), and every moment of rehearsal has been just right.

💕 Thank you to Steve and Lou for all the confidence you have placed in me with such an important role. I will do everything I can to honour this work and this production. And thank you to all of you, I am so grateful for this tight-knit and lovely community I have here.

Every day I am finding out more on what I can do and what is possible, and this really feels like the beginning of something really really special. I will be present in every single moment ✨🥰

💜 I hope that in these dark and turbulent times that the magic of theatre can provide the missing light. pure jubilation, reading through, and prepping cookies for cast. an odd collage of rehearsal 😂✨

🥰 i would solely attribute my lack of photos to being present. ive had the time of my life rehearsing for this incredible show with the barn theatre!

🌙 putting Shakespeare’s best ever work to life with such a sentimental and commemorative flair, i cannot wait to talk about this more, and show you all what we’ve been cooking up :)
