We are still open!! A little toasty, but the shop isn’t too bad!

However, we thought everyone could do with a little bit of fun as it is so hot! So, following my week away with my niece, let’s play her favourite game: hide and seek!

It’s Monday tomorrow! Which means one thing: I’m back from my holidays and open for a few hours, a day early!!

A huge thank you to all my lovely customers for being patient, understanding & supportive of me having a week off (it was so needed & I feel like I’ve had a good week to just switch off!)

I went to Anglesey, with my lovely family (4 generations of us!) My camera roll is full of lovely memories from the week (mainly of my niece and nephew… they’re just too cute!!!😆), which makes a change from 100’s of fabric/stock photos HA!

But I’m feeling ready to be back, seeing and hearing about all your fabulous creations and chatting away too much to you all!

Open tomorrow, Monday 22nd for a few hours. Then back to normal from Tuesday! Cant wait to see you all & hear about what you’ve been making!

FREE MOTION EMBROIDERY

We have a brand new workshop coming up at Needle Nook with the lovely Sharon! If you’ve ever wanted to try Free Motion Embroidery but weren’t sure how to get started, this relaxed, hands-on day is designed exactly for you.

You’ll spend the morning learning machine control, and practicing techniques Sharon demonstrates, then after lunch you’re encouraged to let your creativity flourish working on your own bespoke piece.

• £65 pp (includes your base fabric, Bondaweb, and design off cuts)

Want to understand your overlocker better? Join our next workshop!

Join us on Friday 10th July, 9.30-3.30 for a day full of overlocker tips & techniques.

You’ll learn:
• What does an overlocker do and how does it do it.
• Adjusting the overlocker to produce different results.
• Threading the overlocker.
• Changing the thread colour.

During the day you will produce sample pieces showing what the overlocker can do and learn how and where it is used when sewing together a garment. When correctly adjusted and understood they are a great addition to your sewing. And of course, specific questions about your own current sewing project are welcome.

I love love LOVE seeing all of your makes, and it’s even cooler seeing you come in wearing your items too🤩

This fabulous customer found the orange bird/floral fabric in the ‘last chance to buy’ box. There was only about 70cm left of the fabric, but she fell in love with it & had to have it. A couple weeks later and this was the finished result! The sleeves have been made with plain colours that match the fabric, with the occasional pattern one mixed in with them, and it looks so so good!!! Makes me so excited & inspired seeing how your creativity flows & what you all come up with, especially when it uses every last scrap of fabric!

Knit Pro ZING crochet hooks are now fully restocked!

I had a lovely customer come in last week, and wanted to treat herself to the whole collection of Zing crochet hooks, so we got all the sizes, lined them up to check if we had every single one, and chatted all things crochet.

I have now restocked all the crochet hooks from the zing range (I’ve also got waves 2.0!), so if you’ve been thinking about treating yourself to the whole collection, pop on in and we can see what ones you need to complete your collection, or make you a new collection from scratch!
