Wells Carnival - Wells next the Sea, Norfolk Wells-next-the-Sea in the heart of North Norfolk enjoys a traditional summer Carnival for residents and visitors.

WELLS CARNIVAL, 2026 will take place Friday 31st July - Sunday 9th August incl - Carnival Parade day will be Saturday 8th August - email: [email protected] A week of family fun and events including a Carnival Day procession around the town featuring floats, fancy-dress, pull-and push-along vehicles and much more. Traditional seaside activities include a sand-castle competition, town crier c

ompetition, gillying on the quay and the crowning of the Carnival Queen. There is live music throughout the week, a beach party, funrun, Screen on the Green and loads more. Wells Carnival Ltd is a not-for-profit organisation run entirely by volunteers. Many of the events are either free or a minimal charge. The Carnival relies on sponsorship and bucket collections throughout the week to cover the cost of putting on all the events. Money raised by bucket collection during the parade on Carnival Day itself is divided among local charities and organisations. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU GIVE GENEROUSLY - WITHOUT THIS MONEY THE COMMITTEE WOULD BE UNABLE TO ORGANISE SUCH A MAGNIFICENT WEEKS ENTERTAINMENT

You can pick yours up from the lovely ladies at Wells Post Office on Station Road, Wells-next-the-Sea.

You’ll find it just beyond the new slightly questionable road layout… 😆

Our full Carnival Programme will be available to view very soon, and printed copies will be delivered FREE to homes across the NR23 postcode area in the coming weeks.
