A night of dark art‑pop, fearless vocals, and immersive storytelling.

Marking the release of her second solo album History is the Struggle of Becoming, produced by Mercury Prize–nominated Ed Harcourt, JJ Lovegrove brings her unmistakable sound to Wells. Expect a unique blend of dark art‑pop, spectral textures, and haunting, almost operatic vocals that linger long after the final note.

Supporting JJ is singer‑songwriter Conor O’Rourke, whose warm, intimate style sets the perfect tone for the evening.

We have essential urgent plumbing works taking place on Wednesday 20 May in our front of house areas, including cafe and kitchens. Therefore, our cafe will be closed.

Our brilliant contractors will be working super hard and starting early, but we can’t guarantee that we’ll be able to open fully until Thursday 21 May.

We are sorry for any disappointment but these are essential and unexpected works that need addressing, so we can continue to offer our customers a great experience with us.

We’ll update if plan change. Thanks for your patience and understanding.
