We’re hiring!

Rifco Theatre Company is looking for a Production Sound Engineer to join the 2026 tour of Surinderella.

This is an exciting freelance opportunity to be part of a bold desi twist on pantomime, working closely with Sound Designer Dominic Brennan, Sound No. 1 and the wider production team to bring the sound design to life across the tour.

📆 Start Dates: 13 July – 31 October 2026

Locations include Watford, Coventry, Hayes, Bradford, Dunstable, Portsmouth, Manchester, Birmingham, Peterborough, Blackpool, Gravesend, Barnet, London and Stratford East, London.

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Jenny Roberts, a cherished friend, colleague and champion of Rifco Theatre Company.

Jenny’s relationship with Rifco stretched back to our very beginnings. Working for Oxford Touring Theatre, she became one of our first mentors, helping us write our first business plan and encouraging a young company to believe that its ambitions were possible.

She later became our Arts Council England Relationship Manager and then served as Rifco’s Executive Director from 2016 to 2022. Throughout that journey, Jenny was a trusted guide, wise counsel and passionate advocate, helping Rifco grow into one of the UK’s leading touring theatre companies.

Warm, generous and deeply committed to artists and audiences, Jenny’s impact on our company and the wider cultural sector was profound. Her belief in people, her kindness and her unwavering support changed countless lives and careers.

We will miss her dearly and remain forever grateful for the role she played in Rifco’s story.

Our thoughts and love are with her family, friends and all who had the privilege of knowing her. ❤️
