Belmont Theatre is a leading amateur theatre group rehearsing and performing in Watford, Hertfordshire to packed houses. Formed in 1946 and originally known as Belmont Players, the group has a nucleus of loyal and devoted members ranging from beginner to professional involved in all aspects of theatre. Our three main productions a year range from comedies to dramas to musicals. In addition we have

a lively social scene and participate in many other special events. In order to maintain our previous high standard of productions, Belmont Theatre is always looking for new members to act or direct, work backstage (including set-building, lighting and sound), Front of House and the promotion and general management of the group. As many of you will know, major refurbishment works are planned for The Pump House Theatre and Arts Centre.

These exciting improvements will enhance the experience for audiences and provide upgraded backstage, lighting and sound facilities that will be greatly appreciated by the groups who use the venue.
