Lovely return visit to Solent Infant School for their Bedtime Stories event. 3 groups of 30 children enchanted by a Scottish tale of a Giant called Archie, or Freddie. Whose Mother always told him , " never ever ever go in salt water." In this story he found out why.

My absolute pleasure to tell at Abbotswood Care Home , in Romsey for the community Dementia Cafe today. Lovely audience who willing joined in with a little participation and listen in good heart. We visited old Nursery Rhymes a little bit of panto with Jack and the Beanstalk and racked our brains for names in Rumplestliskin. Ended with the story of The Kings Tailor.

Great to be back with the Rainbows at Bishops Waltham, telling a couple of new stories which involve the sea.

All stories told by Bluebird for 2025, thank you to all who have invited myself to share stories with you. I have had lots of fun. Its so nice to take time to connect with so many through traditional stories and from heart to heart. I look forward to going out again in 2026, hopefully with new stories to me to tell. My diary is open and awaiting your contact. Happy Christmas to all my listeners and supporters.

Bluebird was invited to tell a story at the story Club, Horror and Dread event last night.What a great audience and wonderful venue at The Design Chapel in Southampton.
Excellent variety of stories told by the other 6 tellers, all well received by the audience.

Earlier in the week I really did not know what shape my story session with Hayling Islands Chit Chat Club would take. I have been to the group several times over the last 3 years.
Then I decided to revisit Swedish Tales, and tell a selection of those for the whole of the session, something I don't normally do.
I am so glad I did, all the stories were well received and the feel of our time together felt very calm and serene.
Even the rumbling thunder over Hayling seemed to tie in with the stories in places.
I have two Swedish books, and I thought they were the same, although the paperback has less stories. But today I was surprised that one is titled Folk Stories and the other Fairy Stories.
No matter, we had a lovely time and the group was very appreciative of the stories. Happy story days.
