My summer challenge from Bramshott Grange care home, was to tell stories from Kenya.! Twice this afternoon to 2 groups of residents
I managed to find a selection of 6 folktales and a little tale of Lord Baden-Powell. I think the origins of the Hippo, Paka the Cat, Binti Ali the Clever One, The Magic Date Tree, Rich Man Poor Man, the Merchant and the Oil, all amused and entertained this afternoon.
I enjoyed interacting with all the residents and of course leaving behind my little Bluebird paper mementos to remind the listeners of the stories and our time together.

Despite the rain and at times Thunder, Bluebird has enjoyed the three visits to the Woodland Theatre,to share Stories and Songs with the children on residential stays.
Wonderful attentive listening to the stories and joining in with the songs.
Maybe next time we go the sun will come out.

Lovely return visit to Solent Infant School for their Bedtime Stories event. 3 groups of 30 children enchanted by a Scottish tale of a Giant called Archie, or Freddie. Whose Mother always told him , " never ever ever go in salt water." In this story he found out why.

My absolute pleasure to tell at Abbotswood Care Home , in Romsey for the community Dementia Cafe today. Lovely audience who willing joined in with a little participation and listen in good heart. We visited old Nursery Rhymes a little bit of panto with Jack and the Beanstalk and racked our brains for names in Rumplestliskin. Ended with the story of The Kings Tailor.

Great to be back with the Rainbows at Bishops Waltham, telling a couple of new stories which involve the sea.

All stories told by Bluebird for 2025, thank you to all who have invited myself to share stories with you. I have had lots of fun. Its so nice to take time to connect with so many through traditional stories and from heart to heart. I look forward to going out again in 2026, hopefully with new stories to me to tell. My diary is open and awaiting your contact. Happy Christmas to all my listeners and supporters.
