Was great to be back teaching the senior girls tonight for Intermediate Modern and G5 Tap even making a start on some work for the IDTA Gala in February!

I wanted to share with u our ‘Senior Girls’ who gave a Ballet Demonstration of the Royal Academy of Dance Grade 7 Syllabus in the parish church of St John on Jubilee Thursday 2nd June at the village Fair at Whittonstall Nr Consett. The reason we chose this beautiful work was because Queen Elizabeth was the Royal patron for the Academy & the girls were able to dance this work in a performance format. In the light of the very sad news yesterday I want to take this opportunity to thank the girls and their parents for their support knowing they will hold this memory of the Queens Platinum Jubilee in their hearts for the rest of their lives

Many congratulations to Jack again for his IDTA Theatre Dance Award nomination. The awards are taking place this week in Manchester, and although Jack is unable to be there due to other commitments, we would nonetheless, like to celebrate his fantastic achievement.

Classes are on today at Consett and tomorrow at Oxclose. Derek is still in hospital as he was rushed in on Tuesday night with Covid pneumonia. He is off oxygen & breathing for himself & they removed the drip last night. I'm testing negative so ok to do the classes today & tomorrow. Slight changes to the time table. Mids at 10.15am all Juniors at 11.30 ( unchanged) seniors 12.30-2.30. I need to speak to Jessica & Seniors re Tap & Mod & coaching on Sundays at Chester le St on Sundays. Can you spread the word please? Hope to see u all. Xx

Derek & I have both tested positive for COVID this afternoon so I cannot do classes tomorrow.

My apologies to everyone for the delay in returning to classes; I’ll keep everyone up to date with my return.

Just a reminder that Oxclose is still closed to us today but all classes will return next Saturday.
I apologise to you all for the inconvenience this is causing but hopefully we will be all ready to go once again next Saturday.

As Derek & I are in the middle of moving again after being in temp accommodation for 5 weeks we have no WiFi again until Sky can re connect us. Please contact me by text or WhatsApp.

Once again I thank you for your patience & support but hopefully we will be up and running again ASAP.

Oxclose have cancelled all room bookings until 22nd January due to staff shortages and therefore all lessons are cancelled until then.

A big thank you to one of our parents for sharing some photos of our recent presentation. All of our students were fabulous, and thank you as usual to all of our supportive friends and families for sharing in our recent exam successes.

Message from Miss Pauline:

I’m really sorry but I have to cancel all classes and the certificate presentation morning this Saturday 30th 0ct.

My senior students who have recently tested positive for Covid are unable to attend this week, as are quite a few of our pupils, as they have other arrangements for the end of the half term break.

Saturday classes will return on 6th November and our awards presentation is rescheduled for 10.30am at Oxclose on Sat 13th November.

I apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
