A little health update for my lovely clients 🤍
Since getting Chikungunya virus (a mosquito borne virus that causes intense(!) joint pain and fatigue🦟) while travelling, I’ve been dealing with ongoing pain, stiffness and inflammation/post-viral arthritis in most of my joints (basically a tattooist’s worst nightmare 😅)
…hence completely stacking it in front of the Eiffel Tower after my ankle gave way 🤣
I’m trying everything I can to get better (vitamins, herbal balms, bath salts, stretches, pain relief, you name it) but I’m still very much in the healing process…Unfortunately there’s no given timeframe when it comes to healing this particular illness 🙄 so I’m very much playing it by ear and will make sure to keep you in the loop
I’ve realised that a full 7-hour day of tattooing really takes its toll on my wrists and fingers, so I won’t be taking on any *full-day* bookings for the time being 🥺 day sessions will be split into 2 halves instead (note: you will still benefit from the day session rate if you book both in!!)
I’ve contacted existing bookings that may be affected over the coming weeks and will continue to do so as and when is needed🖤
I may need to take a couple extra super-quick ‘hydration breaks’ compared to usual during your appointment just to stretch out my joints a bit! 👵🏻 some days are a lot more bearable than others
I want to listen to my body rather than push it its limits, as I don’t want it to affect the quality of your tattoo! Tattooing requires a steady hand and a lot of precision, and I want to make sure I’m able to give every tattoo the time, care and attention it deserves!! By tattooing in shorter sessions and giving myself a little more time to rest and heal properly, I’m hoping to recover as quickly as possible!🤞
(Oh and hair is also falling out, and I had to use a walking stick the other day, weeks before turning 30..😅🤪 so I think my body is very loudly reminding me to s l o w d o w n! (😭))
Thank you so much for your patience and understanding, I really appreciate it! 🤍
