大芯芯加入香港獅大約半年，起初佢鍾情鼓樂多啲。佢說話唔多，每次見佢都係默默練習，係其中一個最勤力嘅學員，即使師父冇要求，原來佢一有時間就會喺屋企自己練習。
後期一次同小芯芯試玩「上雙髀」就一拍即合，開始嘗試玩獅尾。好幸運好快就正式表演嘅機會。但因為真正一齊練習嘅時間非常寶貴，只能夠靠大家各自練習，因為大家都非常認真同勤力，所以表演當日非常順利完滿，而且掌聲不斷👏🏻
雖然短短半年，但大芯芯嘅表現出色，佢慢慢向「全能」醒獅舞者進發，期待下次不同崗位嘅演出，繼續努力👍🏻

Last time we introduced the youngest lion head of Hong Kong Lion Team. This time, we’d like to introduce our 1st girl lion tail dancer, Glenda. Coincidentally, both the lion head and lion tail share the same nickname “Sum Sum”, so we affectionately call her “Big Sum Sum”. 🩶

Glenda joined the Hong Kong Lion Team around six months ago. At first, she was more interested in the drum and cymbals . She doesn’t talk much, but every time we see her she is quietly practising. She is one of the most hardworking students — even when Master Fire doesn’t require it, she still practises at home.

Later on, when she tried practising to be the lion tail with Flare, they immediately clicked and began exploring the lion tail role together. Luckily, not long after, they had the chance to perform officially. Because the time they could practise together was very limited, they mostly relied on practising individually. Thanks to their dedication and hard work, the performance went smoothly and successfully, receiving continuous applause from the audience. 👏🏻

Even though she has only been with us for half a year, Glenda has shown outstanding progress. She is gradually becoming an all-round lion dancer, and we look forward to seeing her take on different roles in future performances. Keep up the great work! 👍🏻

介紹香港獅🇬🇧第一pair少獅組合，獅頭（梁芯）只有六歲，仲要係女孩子，呢個獅頭2歲已經起佢屋企當玩具玩，但係今年先夠力舉起玩幾分鐘嘅表演。為咗夠力完成表演，佢每日放學都會在家做體能訓練，倒立練手力等💪🏻。雖然這場表演並非正式傳統醒獅表演，而係聯承 合作以舞蹈同舞獅嘅技藝交流。但當中仍有一些舞獅的難度動作例如雙髀、單髀和鉗腰720等。當日她第一次在數百人面前表演精彩，自信滿滿。期待她正式舞獅表演。

Passing on tradition has always been at the heart of the Hong Kong Lion Team.

From Hong Kong to the UK, we have remained a non-profit team. Our aim has always been simple — to connect through lion dance, to share this traditional art with more people, and to help keep this important cultural heritage alive.

We’re proud to introduce the first junior lion pair from the Hong Kong Lion Team here in the UK 🇬🇧

Our lion head performer, Flare, is just six-year-old girl. She’s grown up with this lion head at home since she was two, when it was simply a toy to her. Only this year has she become strong enough to lift it and perform for several minutes at a time.

To build her strength, she trains every day after school — practising handstands and doing conditioning exercises to strengthen her arms 💪🏻

Although this performance was not a full traditional lion dance routine, it was a cultural exchange collaboration with , blending dance and lion dance techniques. Even so, the performance still included advanced lion dance movements and strength-based stances.

It was her very first time performing in front of hundreds of people — and she did it with confidence and courage.

We’re incredibly proud of her and can’t wait to see her take to the stage in a full traditional lion dance performance very soon.

It was such a special experience to be invited by Warrington Library to celebrate Lunar New Year with a lion dance performance.

We never imagined that a place usually known for its quiet atmosphere would welcome such a lively and festive celebration.

It’s not only Hong Kong people embracing British culture — it’s heartwarming to see local communities eager to experience traditional Hong Kong Lunar New Year customs as well.
This kind of mutual respect and cultural exchange is truly something to cherish and learn from.

Wishing everyone a year filled with knowledge and flourishing success in studies!
