Black and white, shadow and light…
The drawing I started weeks ago is finally finished. It wasn’t a small task, but I still love a challenging piece.
SILENCED BLOOM
Could be the perfect companion to my piece “The Crone”, perhaps even as part of a series.
Created in A/3 size on Daler Rowney 220 gsm smooth drawing paper, using Faber-Castell Matt 1111 6B and Faber-Castell 9000 6b, 2b, and F graphite pencils.

I started this winter picture with pastel weeks ago, my first picture of the year. It progressed slowly, and by the time it was finished, spring had arrived. Thus, it is also suitable for closing winter and welcoming spring.

Black and white, shadow and light...
I started my biggest portrait drawing so far in early November, and this morning it was finally finished. It was a real challenge, because of its size, because of the time that had passed since I last drew a portrait, and because of the many wrinkles. Every moment I could spend with the pencil in my hand was a pleasure. A beautiful pair of laughing eyes and a face look back at me from the picture, with deep traces of life on them. These are still the pictures that are closest to me.
What will be the next picture? Maybe another portrait.

My graphite pencils came back to life after a very long rest.
The movements started a little more difficult, I didn't know where to start. But then came a feeling that could not be compared to anything else. And now we just have to continue.

Not many pictures I painted this year, but even more memories.
We spent a wonderful week in Wales at the end of may, visiting beautiful places. It was then that this picture, which I painted with pastel, appeared in front of us. Nothing in the world is more beautiful to me than green nature.

I think you already know, one of my eternal subjects is trees. I love them. In life too. Among them, you can recharge yourself the best. They could tell a lot. If I hug a tree, I can feel its energy.
Old buildings are also full of memories and feelings.
