To wander through the sweeping corridors and grand rooms of Longleat House is to be transported back in time. Exploring this stunning example of high Elizabethan architecture - and the Capability Brown landscaped grounds surrounding it - is a day out in itself. It was substantially completed by Sir John Thynne in 1580. And today, his descendants are still lucky enough to call it their home.

We couldn't be hoppier to introduce our newest arrival: a tiny Parma wallaby joey! 🦘💖
The mum, Kiara, arrived only a few weeks ago, so the father is from her previous home. Adult Parma wallabies grow to only 50cm tall, so you can imagine just how small our newest addition is.

Have ewe ever wanted to try your hand at barn dancing? 🐑

As we celebrate the cinematic release of Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom, we’re throwing a Halloween Hoedown and you’re invited!

Join us from 24 October – 1 November, show off or learn barn dancing skills as well as solving puzzles around the park to help Shaun and the flock save the hoedown.

The half term, we’re celebrating Sky Original film, Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom, with a giant pumpkin takeover. Can you stop the pumpkins from taking over the Halloween Hoedown?

Join Dr Tom and Keeper Caleb on Thursday 8 October to learn about our programmes to protect not only our endangered residents, but also the incredible native wildlife on the estate. Dr Tom will give you an update on our work and how the beavers and pine martens are getting on, before Keeper Caleb will tell you about the exciting new developments in our work to conserve lions, which are a big part of our DNA here at Longleat 🦁🦫
