Warminster Philharmonic Orchestra A friendly community orchestra, founded in 2004, welcoming musicians supporting local charities. There are no auditions. Just come along to a rehearsal.

If you love playing in an orchestral group and you want to meet more like-minded people; that’s what we are about and we need YOU! We rehearse once a fortnight at the Minster Church in Warminster from 7.30-9.30pm every other Tuesday. As a guide, we try to choose music that is suitable for players of approximately Grade 5 upwards. This can vary between instruments, so please get in touch if you are

unsure whether to come along for the first time. Look at our past concerts page on www.warminsterorchestra.org.uk to get an idea of the wide range of material that we cover. Players of all orchestral instruments are welcome, but we are particularly keen to meet players of the following instruments: violin, viola, cello, bass, bassoon, horn, trombone, tuba, percussion

The Warminster Philharmonic Orchestra is such a special community: Yes, we make music together, yes we put on concerts and yes, we get frustrated at some of the tricky bits BUT every single musician who comes along to play and audience member who comes along to listen is there in order to 'feel.' To feel better, to stop the mind whizzing with thoughts, to feel comfortable, to feel part of a community, to feel support, to feel happy, to feel calm....

I have run the orchestra for over half of my life and am extremely proud of 'why' our musicians - my friends - keep returning to play and how our audience grows and supports us in what we do.

The power of music is awesome. 🎶 🎵
