At Warkworth Drama Group we like to support a charity that ties in with our play. With our spring production, Habeas Corpus, touching on the subject of depression we chose an amazing cause for our raffle proceeds - Ashington Samaritans.

Ashington is one of two Samaritans' branches in Northumberland, the other is in Berwick-upon-Tweed. Quote from their website…

Samaritans is here for anyone struggling to cope – day or night, 365 days a year. We take action to prevent people reaching crisis point, helping people find ways to cope and learn the skills to be there for others. We campaign to make su***de prevention a priority.

We had a BRILLIANT first night, just short of a sell out - WOW!! Thanks to all of you who came along and supported us. Loads of laughter and loads of fun for the cast too.
