Some behind-the-scenes shots from the T-Rex shoot for the 2024–2025 London Palladium panto, Robin Hood.

Featuring the legendary Nigel Havers bravely stepping into Richard Attenborough’s shoes as John Hammond from Jurassic Park.

Filmed over four days at Longcross Studios, just outside London. Despite extensive negotiations, the T-Rex refused to hit its marks, ignored direction, ate most of the catering budget, and never once learned its lines.

Thankfully Nigel remained calm throughout, proving that running a dinosaur theme park and surviving a pantomime aren’t all that different.

Here’s one of our Pit Crocodiles in action. The crocodile launches from the pit, opens its enormous jaws, and appears to devour the performer in a spectacular effect that never fails to amaze audiences.

From testing in our workshop with Tom to installation, commissioning, and show-readiness with Ellie, every project is delivered with precision, creativity, and reliability.

No two days are ever the same at TwinsFX.

With such a diverse range of projects, every week brings something different and this one was no exception.

From supporting productions across the industry to having our creative team on board Legend of the Seas, Royal Caribbean’s newest and soon-to-be largest cruise ship in the world, it’s been another exciting week for the team.

Here’s a snapshot of what we’ve been up to over the last few days.

This is a great idea, allowing cast members to appear out of nowhere. It will work especially well in Cinderella when Buttons arrives with the Ugly Sisters’ cases!

These cases are in our hire stock (big or small versions) and will help create a seamless, magical moment on stage while maintaining the overall look and feel of the production.

Our new gate guardian is now officially on duty!
A huge well done to Ava from Wimbledon College of Art for her work experience placement.
Ava painted this magnificent samurai warrior, who is now standing guard and taking his responsibilities very seriously.
The results speak for themselves - an incredible transformation and an amazing job from start to finish. Ava's talent, creativity and hard work have certainly left their mark.

Nipper Norms just had a little refurb this week following his successful pantomime season in Edinburgh last year!

Named after Gary and Paul’s late father, Norman, this giant is an absolute showstopper.

Standing at over 10 metres tall — yes, 10 metres tall-Nipper Norm is huge… but wait until you see the flight case! 🤯

In fact, Nipper Norm takes up an entire Arctic lorry on his own.

A true giant in every sense of the word! 🚛✨

That’s it… we’re ready to set sail on the world’s largest cruise ship, Legend of the Seas 🚢✨

Sailing from Europe this summer, this incredible ship is packed with spectacular effects. This ship truly has to be seen to be believed! From an epic waterpark and enormous swimming pools to the iconic and unique Pearl, there’s something amazing around every corner.
