Generation Circus is a circus community of people aged 50–96.

A space for play, risk and connection.

Where people enjoy failures, cheer each other on and make circus together.

Join them at Ware Drill Hall for their Over 50s Showcase featuring aerial silks, trapeze, hula hoop, dance and plenty of unexpected moments, all performed by people aged 50–96.

Part of Age Without Limits 2026, celebrating older circus artists and challenging assumptions about age.

Generation Circus has become a much-loved part of the Ware Drill Hall community, and we're proud to host their annual showcase.

Something a little different for your sketchbook...

Circus Life Drawing features aerialist and contortionist Jo Foley alongside nine over 50s circus performers.

Yes, it's life drawing — but all models are fully clothed.

Expect unusual poses, changing performers throughout the evening and plenty of opportunities to draw characters you won't find at a typical life drawing session.

Never drawn before? It doesn't matter. Artist and tutor Julie Arnall will be on hand throughout the evening if you'd like a few tips or pointers, but there's no pressure and no experience needed.

A café will be serving tea, coffee and homemade cakes throughout the evening, and you can drop in any time between 5pm and 8pm.

Some people come for the circus. Some come for the drawing. Everyone comes back for the atmosphere.

Tickets are selling well, so book ahead if you'd like to join us.
