So the time has come to move on.

Studio Focus Recording moved into Lyford almost 5 years ago now.

Tom and I have loved running the studio, it seemed like a naive decision to try and run a recording studio as a professional business in the middle of no-where, but for us this has been a 2nd home and has built relationships with a number of people we would never have met otherwise.

As some of you know, Tom left the studio a couple of years back to roam around the world doing broadcast sound for ESL gaming tournaments. This put me in a tricky situation at first, but that's around when Indi B Productions joined ship and helped me continue with the studio. Indi has setup her own space in Oxfordshire so please do contact her if you need any production work done.

One of my busiest clients ISLAND are releasing their debut album this April - it was recorded and mixed here at SFR with the band and I still love the final mixes. I've been lucky enough to work as a touring engineer with the band last year and will be travelling the EU, UK & US with them this year.

I will also be relocating to Glasgow, so watch this space as I might just have something planned up there too...

Too many people to thank individually - so many people have done selfless acts to support this studio. You know who you are. Thank you.

Big love to The Spook School who came by earlier this year and did a live session at the studio.

Today they announced their 3rd LP which will be released on Alcopop and shared the first single for it.

Oh and it's a banger ;)

Currently on a UK and European tour with Diet Cig, the band's third LP will come out in January.
