We’ve been rather quiet, as busy doing behind the scenes stuff and having a bit of R&R. However, I came across this lovely fabric featuring Mochaware, it was recently designed by folk artist Marion Elliot for I’m just trying to decide what I could make with it!
Mochaware often features banding and sometimes amazing ‘dendritic’ patterns like those occurring in moss agate see: https://collections.vam.ac.uk/item/O1289719/mochaware-mug-queensberry-david/ The pattern is created by adding an acid over a slip and it then crawls. We haven’t tried it but could be a fun challenge for our students 😁
