PLEASE SUPPORT COMEDY!
Just a quick post here. It would seem that a lot of comedy gigs are being cancelled due to dwindling audience numbers. I’ve had to cancel recent dates for this very reason. It’s frustrating, not just because I then have to cancel the acts that I have booked, but because I’m also sympathetic with the financial situation for many people who love comedy, but simply cannot afford to go out.
I rely on venues to generate ‘bums on seats’ whilst I organise and host the entertainment, using ticket sales to pay the acts. I’m now having a re-think, in an effort to make a cracking night out more affordable.
