WWAOS We are a friendly and enthusiastic society, performing two main musical shows each year plus cabarets and variety shows. Based in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey.

SHREK - The Musical 1st-6th December at the Cecil Hepworth Playhouse. WWAOS is based at The Cecil Hepworth Playhouse, Walton on Thames, where our performances are staged and where most of our rehearsals take place. The Society was formed in 1925 and, apart from the war years, has staged productions every year and now has over 130 to its credit. We are a friendly and enthusiastic society, performing two main musical shows each year plus Music Hall and Compilation shows. It's not all hard work, there is a tremendous amount of fun and enjoyment and we are always looking for new members to share this with us, both on stage and as crew, lighting etc. We aim to produce good quality performances in a social and convivial atmosphere. Our main shows run Monday to Saturday, with a Saturday matinee. WWAOS is affiliated to the National Operatic and Dramatic Association (NODA).

Does your child love performing?

We have opportunities to perform in our next production - Shrek The Musical (1st-5th December 2026, The Cecil Hepworth Playhouse, KT12 1AU).

We are looking for:
Young Fiona - 8-13 years old
Teen Fiona - 13-18 years old
Young Shrek - 8-13 years old

(The above are playing ages However your child must be at least 8yrs old to audition).

And potentially some other enesemble parts.

Auditions: Saturday 12th September 10am-1pm, Cecil Hepworth Playhouse, KT12 1AU

It’s that time again….the WWAOS Summer Party 2026.

The sun is just about out but the food is shining bright and the smiles even bigger!! Thank you to the Jordan’s for hosting once more and for James for delivering another amazing banquet (with Mr Jordan on the bbq).

What a fantastic penultimate week we had at our Tap Classes with Josh Coombes sessions last night! These sessions just keep getting better week after week.

Everyone left with huge smiles on their faces and were continuing to talk about the session for hours after it finished which is just what we like to see and hear!

We had a great couple of classes with Josh on Tuesday!

The beginners class learned some basics to You’re Welcome from Moana.

The intermediate to advanced class learned some fab choreo to Dancin’ Fool from Copacabana. It looked and sounded fantastic.
