πŸ›πŸ”Ž Did you know a minibeast hunt is part of our onsite school visits?
It’s not just about meeting our amazing live animals and bringing your topic to life, you get to spot some wild ones too!

Armed with a magnifying glass and a minibeast tick sheet, the children head off on their very own self-led minibeast hunt around beautiful Cedars Park.

What will they discover hiding beneath leaves or under logs? πŸ•·οΈπŸžπŸœ

It’s a fantastic opportunity for children to get hands-on with nature, explore their surroundings and discover the incredible little creatures living right on their doorstep!

Learning, meeting animals, exploring and even getting a little bit muddy! The perfect school trip!

🐾 Thank you to everyone who’s been in touch this week regarding school visits, we are excited to bring the zoo to you!

πŸ“š On Wednesday we mentioned our offsite animal school visits directly to your school, yesterday we spoke about the topics we cover and animals we bring along.
Today we will tell you about how it all works!

πŸ¦” So you have got in touch to request a date and the topic you want to learn about, we have booked you in and you are excited for the day we visit your school! What happens next?

🦎 Emma our education officer will arrive with plenty of time to sign in and get set up.
Depending on the number of children this will take place in a hall or even a classroom.

πŸ¦” The children will sit in a semi circle and Emma will introduce various animals, bringing them close whilst discussing the topic you have chosen. She loves questions and will allow children to meet the animals up close, keeping it fun and engaging and all the while keeping the animals welfare a priority.

🐁 The sessions are 1 hour (For preschool and nurseries we can also provide 2 x 30 min sessions) with reduced rates for any subsequent 1 hour sessions on the same day!

🐒 If this is something you think you would love to have in your school then get in touch below. Our dates are going quickly and we have bookings well into 2026 already!

Tag your teacher, school admin or PTA below and tell them why you would love this in your school πŸ’š

🐾 Advance booking is essential, to find out more about our offsite school visits please check out our education page https://www.cedarsnaturecentre.co.uk/education

πŸ“šYesterday, we mentioned our offsite animal school visits directly to your school and promised to tell you about the topics we can cover today!

πŸ¦” The great thing about our experienced team is that we can provide educational talks to all ages from primary to university level.

🦎 We can cover whichever curriculum based topic you are learning about!

πŸ¦” Wether it’s rainforests or mini-beasts at primary age, adaptation or ecology at secondary level. We can provide a fun, educational experience to your school without the stress (and cost) of piling children onto a coach for the day!

We even provide careers talks.

🐒 We will bring along our animal ambassadors too! These will be associated with the topic you are learning about whether it’s tarantulas, tortoises, snakes or armadillos. We’ve got you covered.

🐁 Tomorrow we will tell you how the workshops take place.

🐾 Advance booking is essential and bookings for this year and next are already taking place so don’t miss out. To find out more about our offsite school visits please check out our education page https://www.cedarsnaturecentre.co.uk/education

Can you tell which of our team took part in grooming Bruno the rabbit and who didn’t? πŸ˜†

If you keep pet rabbits it’s important that they are groomed regularly, especially during moulting season.

You may end up quite fluffy however!
