Animal Parties at Cedars Nature Centre!

Make Your Child’s Party a Wild One!

🐾 Are you looking for a birthday party with a difference?
Let our Education Officer, Ranger Emma, bring the animal kingdom to life!

🐾 On arrival, guests are welcomed to our outdoor classroom, where the children gather in a semi circle to meet an amazing range of animals.

🐾 As Emma introduces each animal and shares fascinating facts, the birthday child becomes our special Junior Ranger for the day!

🐾 As Junior Ranger, your child will stroke every animal first and choose different friends to assist with each animal, ensuring everyone gets a turn in the spotlight.

🐾 During this unforgettable 1-hour experience, children will get up close with reptiles, mini beasts and mammals!

🐾 With a maximum of 20 children, every guest has the chance to meet and help handle the animals, creating memories they'll be talking about long after the party ends!

• 1-hour animal encounter experience
• Our parties take place at 1-2pm - 7 days a week.�• Minimum booking: 10 children or £100�• Maximum: 20 children

Happy Fathers Day!

𝐰𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞 𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐚𝐝𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐅𝐑𝐄𝐄 *

As always we will have an action packed schedule of animal talks and meet and greets, feed the meerkats (through the feeding window), feed the fish, meet our ferrets and rats and learn on our discovery table and so much more for just £2.40 pp.

There is no need to prebook.

*One free Dad (or grandad!) per paying child.

🐾 Meerkat Upgrade Alert! 🐾

Our keepers, Hope and Blake, added an exciting addition to the meerkat enclosure — a brand-new lookout platform!

Perfect for sentry duty, this elevated space gives the mob even more room to keep watch over Cedars Nature Centre, while also providing a sunny spot to stretch out and soak up the rays.

And there’s a bonus for our Meerkat Experience guests!

The new platform offers another way to interact with the meerkats, making it easier for visitors who’d prefer not to have the meerkats climbing onto their laps.
You can now stand behind this and still enjoy getting up close with the mob! Perfect for photos too!

Enjoy the timelapse and make sure you stay until the end for the meerkats verdict on their new favourite hangout spot!

🐾 Internship Opportunity 🐾

🐢 As our current Internship comes to an end, Cedars Nature Centre is now looking for 3 x new Interns for a 6 months period.

🦉We have an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to gain valuable experience within the animal industry.

🐍 For the right candidate, this post offers a fantastic opportunity to work with a variety of mammals, birds, reptiles, fish, and invertebrates.

🐇 Unlike other (Full Time) internships, 3 day a week internships allow our interns to work or study alongside being an intern.

🦋 Upon successful completion of the internship and portfolio the intern will receive a written statement from the directors of Cedars in support of their future job applications.

Who’s coming to our Home Education sessions this Thursday 18th June?

We will be learning about Mini beasts! This will involve meeting live invertebrates and also creating a Mini Mini-beast hotel to take home!

🦎 The Junior Rangers are our primary age group 5-10 years and sessions run at 10-11am.

🦎The Rangers are our secondary age group 11-16 years and run at 11.15am-12.15pm.

📚Each month our education officer Emma will bring you a different topic.

These sessions will include meeting live animals too.

🐾 This will be taking place within Cedars Nature Centre. Doors will be opened 5 mins before your session starts.

This ticket is £10 per child with one adult free.

So don’t forget to grab your FREE mini beast hunting kit from our stall.
