Buying a guitar online can definitely be a hit or miss affair. There's a risk you end up with something you don't like. It happened with my first Fender Mustang, a Ben Gibbard Signature model. Didn't like the tone, the 3 position switch was disguised as the tone k**b so it didn't actually have a tone k**b, no cool out of phase switching. The natural wood finish wasn't great either. I tried to like it so, by the time I decided I didn't, it was too late to return it. Needless to say, it eventually got sold.
Saw this one on GuitarGuitar. A MIJ Traditional 60s Standard in Black & Gold. Not only looks exceedingly cool but sounded great in a demo video I watched so I had another stab and took the plunge.
At the other end of the spectrum of satisfaction. This guitar is fantastic. Great tone, well put together, plays great and looks great. Couldn't be happier
