United by a love of tea, energetic dancing, cheeky riffs, silly hats and, of course, cake, Mr Tea and the Minions have been serving up their colourful brand of musical mayhem since 2013.

Their infectious mix of raucous Ska Folk, full-fat Balkan beats and a cheeky squeeze of Dub has made them firm festival favourites — guaranteed to get feet moving and crowds bouncing wherever they go.

And tonight, they’re bringing the party to BunkFest! 🎶🔥

🎪 Mr Tea and the Minions will be closing the Bullcroft Stage this evening.

Who’s fully recharged and ready for another day in BunkFest wonderland?

The Body Training Studio workout is underway on the Bullcroft, as well as workshops in The Magic Teapot, followed by The Newbies Set in the Bullcroft stage at 11:30.

Awesome local band Cheap Suits The Kinecroft stage kicks off at midday. The Fringe starts Fringin’ at over 25 venues and the dancers start dancin’ throughout town from 11

The festival shop, main bar, traders and food are serving. DJ Richard Strange is spinning up in the main bar, and the official opening ceremony will be on the Bob Wyatt main stage at 4:45pm.

Free wristbands for kids' parent and carer contact details are available from the BunkFest shop.

Another great tip is to take a picture of your kids as you arrive at the festival. Have a great time and enjoy the show!

BunkFest 2026 is a special King’s Award for Voluntary Service celebration to honour the many hundreds of volunteers who have given and continue to give time, energy, and passion to make BunkFest the amazing community festival we all love.

The King’s Award for Voluntary Service is the highest national honour given to volunteer groups in the UK, equivalent to an MBE, it recognises the incredible contribution volunteers make to the community.

This award truly belongs to you. Whether you’ve helped with the build, stewarding, stage management, bar shifts, dance programming, artist liaison, litter picking, and so many other vital roles, you make BunkFest possible.

The King’s Award will be presented by the Lord Lieutenant of Oxfordshire, Mrs Marjorie Glasgow, at a ceremony on the Bob Wyatt main stage at 2:30pm on Sunday 6th September.

Wallingford truly has an enviable community and we're proud to live and work alongside you all.

Travel Update! Friday 4th September to Sunday 6th September.

BunkFest encourage the use of public transport and the excellent festival Park & Ride service. Attempts at on-street parking are strongly discouraged; enforcement by the authorities will be stringent!

Train:
Travel from anywhere on the UK rail network to Cholsey, then hop on a musical heritage train on the historic Bunk Line to Wallingford, run by the amazing . Extra services are running throughout the weekend until 10:40pm on Friday, 10:55pm on Saturday and 7pm on Sunday.

Bus:
Bus services are operating as usual.

Park & Ride:
The excellent BunkFest festival Park & Ride is on the Hithercroft Rd Industrial Estate, just off the A4130 bypass. Point your satnav to OX10 9DG and what3words to glossed.dissolves.cars and the BunkFest parking team will direct you. Park & Ride Buses run regularly on Saturday & Sunday 10am-10pm, and the festival is only a 10 minute walk from the parking areas.
