We love it when evil gets the biggest cheer …. See you next year

The stage was a delightful mishmash of Sea Scapes and a set so colourful you'd think that Penny Eagle & Jack, the Checkendon village set decorators raided a rainbow! They managed to transform our humble village hall into a paradise – move over Hollywood, our village is the new hotspot for Love Island

Wait wait, there's more! The cast didn't just go on stage; they were all over the place, not just because they were drunken Pirates (Jesse-May - Eddie Hildred - Steve Daniels) but because they were dragging unsuspecting villagers into the action. You haven't truly lived until you've seen your neighbour attempt a dance with Robbie and the Captain of a pirate ship.

In the grand tradition of village pantomimes, St Marys Players, Robinson Crusoe didn't just entertain, it took us on a laughter-filled journey, leaving us wondering why we don't have a Panto every week. Well done to the cast and crew for turning our little village into the hottest ticket in town!

What a fantastic four performances of 'The Elves and the Bootmaker', from the St Marys Players, Ipsden. After two years of not being able to put on a production due to lockdown/Covid, we hit the ground running, storming into 2023, bigger, better and more outrageous than ever before. All the old faces were there, whether on stage or in the audience, plus some new ones. Sell out shows and outrageously hilarious ad libbing meant Ipsden Pantomime pulled it out of the bag again with everyone from the youngest cast member of 4yrs, to the oldest and everyone in between having a blast. Every show had people crying with laughter, what a brilliant few nights. Everyone's still buzzing, and everyone, cast, crew and audience has said the same thing... 'can't wait for next year!'
