Sinodun Players 🎭 Established in 1948, The Sinodun Players are a register CIO, amateur theatre group and proud owners of The Corn Exchange Wallingford.

Creating theatre and live events through our volunteers, performers and backstage teams. The Sinodun Players are Wallingfords very own Amateur Dramatics Society based at the Corn Exchange in the centre of the market square. Our wonderful Wardrobe Warriors are getting ready for The Snow Queen… but they need some new recruits! 👑

You might think you need to be a whizz with a sewing machine to help — you absolutely don’t!

🪡 Love watching The Great British Sewing Bee but can’t tell a bobbin from a button?
🧵 Fancy learning some new skills?
✂️ Looking for something fun to do in your spare time?
👗 Or are you a seasoned sewer who can make anything from a scrap of fabric?

We want to hear from you!

Our wardrobe team do an amazing job creating, adapting, repairing and organising costumes for our productions, and there are plenty of ways to get involved — whether you can sew or simply have a pair of willing hands!

No experience necessary, just a willingness to get stuck in and have some fun. 💙

❄️ IT’S TIME TO ANNOUNCE OUR 2027 PANTOMIME❄️ oh no it isn't... oh yes it is!

Preparations are already underway for our 2027 pantomime… and we’re delighted to finally reveal that The Snow Queen, written by Alan Frayn, will be taking to the stage in January 2027! 👑❄️

Behind the scenes, our technical, workshop, wardrobe and directing teams have already met and preparations are well underway. There’s lots of exciting work happening behind the scenes to bring this icy adventure to life — and now it’s time to find our cast! 🎭

✨ AUDITIONS ARE OPEN! ✨

We’re looking for performers aged 16+ to join us for The Snow Queen. Whether you’re a familiar face on our stage or this would be your first time performing with us, we’d love to hear from you!

❄️ Audition Dates ❄️

Monday 7th September- Read-through – 7:30pm
Wednesday 9th September - Principal Auditions – 7:15pm
Saturday 12th September – Chorus & Principals Auditions – 11:00am
Tuesday 15th September - Callbacks – 7:15pm

Do you need a moment?
Do you sometimes wish we lived in simpler times? A time when you felt you could stop and smell the blossom, so to speak?

Then come to The Sewing Group and experience the joy and peace that comes from mindful hand stitching. Let the gentle pull of thread through fabric and the rhythmic movement of the needle bring a grounding sense of calm. Sew something nice. Be surrounded by good people. Rediscover the old 'you'.

At the end of the day, it's about being 100% aware of where we are and what we're doing.

Oliver Lansley's dark, witty and outrageous comedy is a laugh-a-minute collision of the dark, the sparkly and the risqué, with a fantastic range of roles to get your teeth into.

Step into a world of adventure this August as master storyteller Bert Ravens brings four timeless tales to life at the Corn Exchange.

📖 Saturday 1 August
Hear the stories of:
⚔️ The Loathly Lady – Can King Arthur and Sir Gawain solve Queen Morgana's deadly riddle?
🎮 Lazy Jack – A modern twist on a classic tale where selling a PlayStation leads to an unforgettable adventure!

📖 Saturday 8 August
🛡️ Perseus and the Gorgon – An epic quest to defeat one of mythology's most fearsome monsters.
🌈 Joseph – The Whole Story – From slavery and prison to power and forgiveness, experience the incredible journey of Joseph.

Each story lasts around 30 minutes, with an interval between them, making for a magical afternoon or evening of storytelling that's perfect for families, children and anyone who loves a great tale.
