I love this job with my whole heart. I want to tattoo forever, and any time I talk about the hard parts, it’s only because I care so deeply about doing my absolute best in an industry I adore.

My first convention was a massive learning curve. My struggles last weekend were absolutely not the fault of the amazing organizers. I simply went in exhausted, didn't fully know what to expect, and wasn't prepared for the environment. The result was a severe autistic shutdown due to extreme sensory overwhelm.

When you are already overstimulated, having too much input can actually make the overload worse. Day one broke me a bit. But Day two was entirely different because I was properly prepared and I could navigate the day on my own terms.

This industry is incredibly high-energy and loud, and pushing through those sensory barriers takes immense mental and physical energy. But I learned that I do belong in these rooms. To every disabled artist figuring it out as they go, we are allowed to learn our limits in real-time.

Next time I’ll be bigger, better prepared, and ready. Thank you to everyone who showed me so much kindness last weekend.

I have not had a single day off in over two weeks, I am now in my pjs on the sofa and ready to do sweet FA all weekend.

Why I NEVER copy another artist's tattoo…

When a client brings a reference photo into the studio, my job isn't to hit copy and paste. References are meant for inspiration, vibe, and direction, not a direct stencil trace.

Here is a great example of why redrawing matters.

The Reference was what my client bought to me and they loved the design. It was a perfect starting point to create something similar that I could make especially for them. This was redrawn to fit my client's body, adding unique elements, better flow, and custom line weight to suit placement.

A Direct Copy…this is what happens when a tattoo'er tries to trace and duplicate a tattoo artist’s work line for line without understanding the drawing fundamentals behind it. This leads to bad ex*****on and just a flat out copy of something that someone probably worked really hard to create for someone to wear forever.

Tattooing isn't about taking someone else's hard work and giving you a cheap copy. You deserve an original, high quality piece designed specifically for you that ages beautifully.

If you bring me a reference you fall in love with, we’ll use it as a starting point to create something completely your own. I would prefer to lose a client and miss out on earning a wage than copying an artist's design or someone's tattoo!

I was so busy taking everything in for my first tattoo convention that I completely forgot to film the actual weekend! Can't believe it's been a week already!

A massive thank you to for having me for my very first show! I had such an incredible time soaking up the atmosphere, surrounding myself with insanely talented artists, chatting to some old friends and making some new ones!
