Edgefold Players Our next production is ' Men of the World' by John Godber in October 2026 We are a non professional theatre group who put on four productions each year.

January - pantomime, March, May and October - plays. We welcome new members whether they want to act, direct, build sets, make costumes, work Front of House or backstage. Please contact us by email [email protected].

Our October play is "Men of the World' by John Godber. The story follows three coach drivers as they prepare for a standard 'mystery trip'. A comedic and compassionate play about nostalgia and ageing. Read throughs are Tuesday 4th and Friday 7th August. Auditions are Tuesday 11th and Friday 14th August. All at Walkden Methodist Church M38 9AN at 7.30pm. New members with some experience are always welcome. Play week is 12th October 2026. Rehearsals are Tuesday, Friday and Sunday evenings. This is unpaid work.

Are you interested in finding out more about Edgefold Players? Come along to our acting workshop on Friday 24th April 7.30 - 9.30pm at Walkden Methodist Church M38 9AN. Led by Myra Pennington it will cover tips,tricks and techniques used by professional actors in rehearsal, focus on use of voice, games and discussion on how we go from 'Page to Stage'. Everyone welcome.
