Finally A Genuinely Decent Station Owner

Phill messaged me to say he had started his own station and asked me if I'd like to do a show on his station

I had gotten on really well with Phill from the previous station and it didn't take long for me to reply with I'd love to

He said do you think Paul would want to do a show
A resounding yes knowing how much of a laugh we had with Phill

So our show dates were decided

Then I decided to contact a few others from the previous station and let them know that Phill had started his own station and asked if they would be interested in doing a show
All said yes
So I messaged Phill to tell him

We all began presenting our shows

Talk about fun

We had such a laugh and Radio was finally how it should be

Phill was such an easy going guy with a great sense of humour and we all loved being on Falcon Radio

Blocking

When a presenter leaves or he gets rid
The presenters chat opens and everyone gets told they must all block that presenter immediately 🤣

Lots didn't block me as I got on well with lots of them but the sheep did

Those that refused to block me told me all about the message and also that they had no intention of blocking me

He lost even more presenters yet he still didn't learn to just be happy that they turned up to do there show
He still wanted to control everyone
Some allowed it ( The Sheep) hung on his every word
If only they knew the things he'd said maybe they would have left too

A few presenters started there own station and I received Messages to present on those stations
Big bonus they were genuinely lovely guys who I got on with really well

I wasn't exactly brilliant but I did love presenting a show and I'd learned quite a lot at this point and I was determined to continue and improve

This is where the actual fun on Radio started for me

The Phone Call

What are you on about

Presenters tend to tell me things ( More Lies )

Are these the presenters you claim don't like me

No they don't

If that's the case why are you claiming that because I've got your number now I know exactly how you work as I've spoken to these presenters who apparently don't like me and found out you were telling them I didn't like them ( More Lies)

( The things this guy would come out with just to turn us against each other so he could have full control over the presenters)

You tell this crap to different presenters because you want to control everyone
You are a control freak and don't like us talking to each other behind the scenes because you aren't in the chat

It's not like that says little man

I wasn't born yesterday you must think I was if you think I'm going to believe that

You've got to stop trying to control everyone
Your not controlling me I'll tell you that for nothing

San I'm taking you off the schedule ( The Truth Hurts )

That was the end of that station
I figured out how little man worked
Told him
He realised he had no control over who I talked to so he had to get rid

This guy gave me a hobby that I actually really enjoyed but because he couldn't control me he took it away or so he thought

8 presenters shortly left
Clearly I wasn't the only one who was fed up of his BS and more soon followed them

Whether that station is still going I have no idea or no interest
Why he felt he needed to control presenters escapes me because he had a lot of presenters who like me turned up to do there shows every week
Yet he wrecked it by being a Control Freak

The Little Man's Show

Remember this is just my thoughts here with this part of the story

The little man used to do a great show in a morning
It was always fun the music was great and I used to listen at my cafe whilst cooking the breakfasts

I saw a poster that he was going to be doing a show after the watershed 9pm in radio land

So we decided it would be a good show to tune into given his morning shows we're always so good

It started off fun with great music and laughter but then came his phone calls to a couple of regular listeners

The things he would ask them were absolutely disgusting

What colour underwear are you wearing
Have you had S** recently etc

He seemed to thrive on it and thought it made good radio
( It Didn't )

This was a guy telling me to watch what I put on social media and that famous people listened. ( Yeah Right) as if I'd believe that yet here he was asking such crude questions to these ladies

I bet he wouldn't ask a man such things

He thought it was funny to show people up live on air ( It Wasn't)

This man was a real piece of work
He did great shows in a morning yet he thought it was OK to be so crude at night

He should have stuck to his morning shows

I of course being me decided to ask why he thought it was OK to ask ladies such questions

He said it brings more listeners in

I then found out I could see just how many people were tuned in after all he had stated earlier that there were 50k fans 🤣🤣

Off I go to the website to start looking at how many listeners were tuning in out of these 50k 🤣🤣

12 people that was it so where were these 50k people were they all out or working 🤣🤣

You should never claim to have so many listeners because people like me get intrigued and will check

Presenters Start To Leave

San can you block ****
Why
He's left the station
So you want me to block him
Yes we always block presenters when they leave
Erm No why should I
Because we always do

Sorry but he's done nothing to me so I'm not blocking him and certainly not on your say so

Now I'm wandering why they block people as soon as they leave the station

Well I figured out it was in case they spoke to current presenters regarding why they left

Several presenters started leaving the station and we were expected to block them but why were they leaving

I think given my last posts it's easy to know the answer

Oh dear I wasn't doing what the little man told me to do

So firstly he wants me to watch what I write on social media now he wants me to block people when they leave
Erm No it's his problem not mine

Even my husband would never ask me to watch what I put on social media or tell me to block someone so I certainly wasn't going to listen to the little man

This little man seemed to think he could control everyone and the sheep did as they were told but lots of us did what we wanted regardless but we never slated his station

Lots of you have asked what the station was called but unfortunately I won't be sharing those details but I do appreciate all of your messages and I'm glad so many are inboxing me with questions which I will be answering on the next post

The 50k Fans 🤣🤣

I begin to wander why presenters only seem to mention other presenters during there show plus a couple of other none presenters names considering the little man said we have 50k fans YES 50k fans according to the little man 😂😂

I ask why do I only seem to hear other presenters names being said during shows and the odd few other people considering you said there were 50k fans

Oopps hit a nerve there

The reply most people are either out or at work and stop asking me questions 🤣🤣

Seriously this little man couldn't lie straight in bed 🛏️🛏️

I Said yeah right so your telling me there are 50k people that listen yet only a couple pop in the chat room

Apparently it's because not everyone wants to be in the chat room but they watch it 👀👀

Even I can understand some people just like to listen but 50k and only ever the same few people in the chat room
Pull the other one

If that little man thinks I'm going to believe that he's wrong

He may fool the sheep but this one certainly doesn't believe his lies and quite a few others weren't daft enough to believe him either and other presenters were working him out or had already worked him out

I'm a ballsy person and don't sit back I question people where others won't

It's not always done me any favours but I stand my ground and don't take fools lightly yet this little man was full of lies and trying to get out of it and certainly didn't like being questioned but I wasn't going to let that stop me asking things

Social Media

San watch what you put on Facebook cuz you now represent the station as a whole

I'd actually shared a photo of an Indian curry and I said who do you think your talking to it's my personal account I'll share what I want

I looked through my Facebook then looked at his
Mine was full of photos of curries and cakes and the odd joke and show posters

Lots of presenters had clicked on the photo and said how yummy my food looked and they'd love to be able to cook like me and barely anyone had clicked on his post ( not my fault)

I did an Indian cookery course many years ago and loved making curries and baking cakes which I still do to this day

Jealousy crept in again I suspect and he needed more likes and comments than me 🤣🤣

He'd shared his show poster for a night and only had 2 likes

Enter the presenters only chat room

We need to work as a team and support each other

In other words my show poster is up like it comment and share it to your friends

Lots of sheep followed his lead and shared it
Just to shut him up I've no doubt so they could continue doing there shows

I purposely didn't share it yet up until he had his rant I'd shared anything to do with the station as I loved promoting things

That soon changed and I became very selective of whose show posters I'd share

He soon noticed

The Motorbike & The Day Out

A day out with several of the presenters so we could meet them

It was a lovely sunny day so
we decided to go on hubby's bike which was a really eye catching bike due to the art on the paintwork

The singer came straight over as soon as we pulled up asking if she could have some photos on the bike and of course my hubby was happy to let her

The way the little man looked at her was enough to give anyone the creeps

You wouldn't know he had a partner given the way he was eyeing up the singer

I suspect he was a bit jealous of the singer chatting to my hubby but my hubby chats to anyone he's so easy going

His actions regarding the way he looked at the singer and the faces he was pulling told us quite a lot about this little man

He wanted the limelight but wasn't getting it ( Oh Dear)

A beautiful lady wouldn't be interested in that little man
She was there to earn money for her talents and nothing more

After the event we all went off to the pub for a Sunday lunch

The little man thinking he should be first in the queue cuz he was so important 🤣🤣

I think he needed to learn how to use cutlery because the way he shoved that food in his mouth it was as if he'd never eaten anything before a spade would have been useful to him at that point

Jealousy Creeps In

A message off the boss
San you've got to stop calling RM that in the chat room he's MY friend not yours

Apparently only he could be friends with the presenters now

You are now a public figure and representing my station and it doesn't look professional to people watching the chat room you've got to be more professional 🤣🤣

I have celebrities that watch the chat room
As if

So he didn't want us to have a laugh with anyone and certainly didn't want any presenters getting on because then he couldn't control us

This only made us do it even more
I bet he was raging behind the scenes but to us it was just harmless banter and hurting no one

I had several presenters contacting me saying be careful he likes to be in on everyone's conversation he likes to know what's going on behind the scenes

It seems like a few presenters were happy to go along with everything he said just to do there show and hung onto his every word and he seemed to thrive on that
Little did they know but he would be running some of them down to me

Whether he thought running them down to me would make me tow the line or not I don't know but it didn't work it just made me realise that this little man wasn't the nicest person to be around

My hubby was also doing shows on the station along with myself

Now he's a pretty clued up guy and the nicest guy you could ever wish to meet
He's upfront and honest and doesn't miss a thing and certainly had the measure of this little man

Between my hubby myself and a few others we worked lots of things out and just how this little man worked

Meeting The Presenters

During the show there was a chat room that you can read whilst doing your show

I was told lots of presenters would be in there to support me on my first live show

This little chat box also appeared on my 10" ipad
Looking back I don't know how I managed on that little ipad but somehow I did

During the show I was greeted with lots of welcomes from other presenters and thought to myself what a lovely team

Next day I had friend requests off several of the presenters and thought how lovely and so accepted the requests

I seemed to be getting on with everyone really well

I wanted to show them some support so listened to there shows as and when I could

A few months later things changed as the station owner didn't want presenters talking to each other if he wasn't in the conversation so he started saying so and so can't stand you to me but I quickly found out he was saying the same thing to them

He became what I can only describe as a control freak
His way or the highway

I'd started to slowly work out just how he worked but went along with it for a while to see how things would pan out and I was really loving doing my shows

We all went off to Mars as it had to be called because he didn't want his fans turning up 🤣

There I met some amazing presenters and I was over the moon to finally meet Phill
Who had travelled from Ireland as we got on really well from day one
That was the Highlite for me of the whole trip and more about my amazing friend to come

I Also got on really well with several other presenters and the boss realised he had no control over this presenter

I'm my own person and didn't intend changing for him
After all I was giving up my time to put together a playlist and then present my show

I would spend hours looking for music to play and thrived on doing that
It had quickly become my hobby and I wanted to enjoy every second of it

In the chat room a presenter from Florida appeared and we became good friends too

We decided we'd have some fun and he started calling me Sexy San
That went down like a lead balloon
I started calling him my ultra Sexy **** name withheld

We Had a great laugh and the boss hated it but we were having fun and doing no harm

I want to take you back to April 2015 of how my radio journey began

My cafe door opened and 2 guys entered ordered food and a drink and kept talking to me
They eventually left
I thought Peace at last

A bit later the cafe phone rang

The guy from a radio station announced who he was and that he was the one who kept talking to me as he wanted to hear my voice

I said I'm pretty busy so left it at that
He called back at different times of the day over the next few weeks

I said can I ask why you keep calling
His reply
You have a great voice
I must say coming from Brownhills I was pretty shocked at that comment but listened to what he had to say thinking ok mate I can have a good laugh

He was actually serious and wanted to get me to do a show on his station

I spoke to him on multiple occasions to see how this works as I'm not too outgoing
Well I wasn't back then

However he told me I could do a show between 7pm and 9pm once a week so I thought go on San give it a go

I Said so what's the catch
He said if you join now I'm doing a special offer so you don't have to pay so much

I thought this is the catch he wants money out of me
At that time I had no idea that most stations have never charged presenters a single penny and still don't to this day

Forward a week I thought this could be good for my business as he said he has a huge amount of listeners
So I paid the money

Then went out on the weekend to buy a 10" ipad yes a 10" I pad to do a live radio show

He came to my home to add a stream onto my ipad and a bit of music

He showed me how things worked and how to add music to my library and jingles to the folder

Then said you need a show poster
£45 for a poster but by then I was pretty keen so paid the money ( I now do my posters along with others for free) and love to create posters for absolutely anyone who asks

SHOW DAY ARRIVED

3rd June 2015
7pm I click go live and there I am nervously doing a live show dreading talking on the mic ( Now I Talk Forever lol)

My customers all wanted to listen and some asked for songs
I'll never forget Irene asking for Robin Thicke Blurred Lines because unbeknown to me there was a version with swearing in oops I had that version playing
The boss contacted me going mad
I said oops and stopped it playing and clicked play on the next song
It makes me chuckle thinking about that now 🤣🤣
