We are super excited about our event at Castleford Lock Lane Sports Centre this Sunday!
All of the information has been shared to Dance Schools directly for teachers to share, however please see below some information that may help you plan your day!
🎟Wristbands
• Please arrive with your wristbands secured - this will help door staff and enable a smooth entry process.
• Please note that we are nearing venue capacity. A limited number of on-the-door wristbands will be available for each session throughout the day. These are only available to those linked to a dance school and not the general public – anyone purchasing on the day will need to provide a full name and the school they attend. These are available CASH ONLY £24 on the door.
• Lost, forgotten, or damaged wristbands cannot be replaced.
🚘Parking
Please be aware that the venue has Rugby League fixtures taking place throughout the day. The venue has allocated only six parking spaces for UCUK staff and has kindly requested that teachers, dancers, and spectators use alternative local parking options.
Free Parking
The Old Coffee Mill, Lock Lane
• Limited free parking available behind The Old Coffee Mill.
• Approximately a 2-minute walk to the venue.
Navigation Road
• Free on-street parking is available.
• Approximately a 2-minute walk to the venue.

• Two public car parks are located nearby.
• Less than a 5-minute walk to the venue.
Carlton Lanes Shopping Centre, Bridge Street, Castleford
• Public parking available.
• Less than a 5-minute walk to the venue.
Please check parking restrictions and charges before leaving your vehicle.
🍔Food & Drink
Lock Lane Sports Centre will have its café and snack bar open throughout the day, accepting both cash and card payments.
Please note that there may be short periods when the catering facilities are temporarily closed to dancers and spectators to allow for rugby match presentations and venue operations.
The venue will allow you to bring in packed lunches and cold food.
👕Changing Facilities
Male and female changing rooms will be available for competitors.
• All children and young people under the age of 18 must be supervised by a responsible adult when using the changing facilities.
• UCUK licensed chaperones will be monitoring the changing areas throughout the event to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all participants.
📸Photography & Recording
• Spectators are welcome to take photographs and videos of their own dancer(s).
• When recording, the primary focus should remain on your dancer(s), and consideration should be given to the privacy of other participants.
• Photography and filming must not obstruct walkways, performance areas, judges, or the viewing experience of other spectators.
• Photography and filming is NOT permitted during Team events- One representitive from your dance school will be permitted to film from an allocated spot – it is up to your dance school teacher as to if this is shared.
📲Social Media
If you choose to share photographs or videos online, we ask that you do so responsibly and respectfully.
• Please be mindful of the privacy of other competitors and audience members.
• We recommend reviewing your social media privacy settings and limiting access to trusted friends and family where appropriate.
Official Event Photography & Videography
UCUK representatives may photograph or film performances, presentations, award ceremonies, and general event activities for use in promotional materials, including:
• UCUK social media channels
• UCUK website and digital platforms
• Future event marketing and promotional content
❗Concerns or Opt-Out Requests
If you have concerns regarding photography or videography at the event, or do not wish for your dancer to appear in UCUK promotional content, please notify your dance school representative prior to the event. They will liaise with the event organisers to discuss any appropriate arrangements.
If you have nay questions - your first pot of call should be your dance teacher! They have direct contact with us 😀
