In 2019 we told you the story of Alvi, a homeless gay teenager who finds his way back to hope and a life he didn't imagine but one he can call his own. We staged it under the incredible Museum of the Moon at what is now Wakefield Exchange (WX)
This summer, we are revisiting Alvi's story in a special run of theatre shows under Helios, Luke Jerram's spectacular sun installation.
Alvi is older now, and he's preparing to marry his longterm boyfriend, if only he can reconcile with his mum and make it the best day of his life. He's also a youth worker for young LGBTQIA+ people who are still going through the things he went through, and worse.
And in an unusual move, we're going to give away the ending now: Alvi gets his happily ever after. Because we all need some hope and light right now.
