A major milestone for the

ALT has officially been granted New Degree Awarding Powers by the Office for Students — becoming the only higher‑education provider in the Wakefield district able to award its own degrees.

The recognition places ALT among a select group of specialist institutions shaping the future of live events, production, broadcast and immersive tech. It strengthens opportunities for young people in West Yorkshire and reflects ALT’s long‑standing commitment to industry‑embedded education.

A huge step forward for the creative workforce of tomorrow.

Yesterday we held our first Creative Health Symposium at and we were absolutely blown away by the enthusiasm and positivity of our attendees.

It's clear there is a real appetite to bring Creative Health to the forefront, and encourage collaboration across districts and different sectors.

With thanks to our brilliant speakers who imparted their vast knowledge and experience in this varied subject area.

As well as plenty of discussion and networking, we also thoroughly enjoyed collaborative harmonies to 'We Will Rock You" at the end of the day.

We hope this is just the very start and we'll continue to work together to develop our capabilities in Creative Health for the benefit of those who need it.
