Important Update Regarding the Future of Escapable
We've had quite a few people asking why bookings haven't been available from November onwards, so we wanted to give everyone an update.
The honest answer is that, until recently, we simply didn't know what the future held for us.
Our tenancy agreement at Thornes Lane Wharf was due to end in September 2026. Our original plan was not to renew the lease and instead open a brand-new Escapable location elsewhere within The Ridings Shopping Centre, featuring four brand-new games that were already in the design process. This would have brought all of our businesses together under one roof.
However, in February, we received the news that The Ridings Shopping Centre was set to be demolished. Since then, things have become very uncertain. At the moment, we still don't know exactly what is happening with The Ridings, whether redevelopment plans will move forward as originally proposed or whether the centre will continue operating for longer than expected.
Because of this uncertainty, we have extended our tenancy at Thornes Lane Wharf until February 2027.
The good news is that bookings from November onwards are now open, and you'll be able to book games right through until January 2027.
What we do want everyone to understand is that we still don't know what the long-term future of Thornes Lane Wharf will be. We may extend our stay beyond February 2027, or we may not. At this stage, it simply depends on what happens locally and what opportunities become available.
With that in mind, if you've been thinking about playing any of our Wharf games, we'd strongly encourage you to visit sooner rather than later. There is a genuine possibility that some of these games may not be around beyond early 2027.
This includes:
• Outatime
• Titanic
• Avast
• Prank Heist
• The Great Loudini
As for our Ridings location, we've been advised that there could still potentially be around two years remaining before any redevelopment takes place.
That means Marv the Monkey Presents: The Golden Banana and For Sale'M' are expected to remain open for the foreseeable future.
Our ideal scenario remains finding a permanent long-term home where we can continue creating new experiences and bringing our future game plans to life. Unfortunately, until we know more about what is happening locally, it's difficult to commit to major new projects.
We want to thank every single person who has supported us over the years. Your support means everything to us, and right now it genuinely helps shape what comes next for Escapable.

For now, it's very much business as usual, and we're looking forward to welcoming thousands more players through our doors over the coming months while we continue planning for the future of Escapable.
