An update on my 8' Collard & Collard grand restoration. Having arrived in a pretty terrible state I have now re-French polished the casework and repaired the damaged carvings. I am now awaiting the wrest pins on route from a specialist in Germany. I can then start the stringing and reinstall the refurbished dampers and rebuilt action. Lots to do but hope to be finished other than tuning by July.

This is my latest project. Just under 8' long it's from 1860 and is in for full restoration. I've removed the dampers and strings and hope to start the restringing in the next couple of weeks. This is a huge undertaking as i am also French polishing some areas, I expect to finish early summer.

Apologies to anyone who received a strange email from my account today, please don't buy Amazon gift cards.. I got hacked this morning by Nigerian hackers.
Thanks to those who messaged me to let me know. I went straight to my local computer shop, thanks Wadcom for all your help. It wasn't a virus that spread when you opened the email, so no need to worry about spreading it.
