ACS Egham International School aims to support Nepalese school communities through Project Nepal.

The mission of Project Nepal is two communities helping each other. We have been inspired to pursue a long-term service-learning project in order to continue to offer our students the opportunity to expand their global awareness through action. Nepal was selected because it meets all of our trip criteria, specifically regarding safety, need, cultural visits and physical challenge opportunities. Sp

ecifically, the program aims to:

--Serve the underserved
--Develop our students’ commitment to service, social justice, and community involvement
--Enable our students to work productively with diverse communities
--Engage the entire ACS Egham school community

For our last full day in Kathmandu, ACS students visited two heritage sites. The Great Boudhanath Stupa and the Kopani Monastery. Two of our legacy scholars, Nerisha and Rupesh came to visit us at our hotel. Students had a great opportunity to chat and connect with these two wonderful young scholars. We finished off our day with a wonderful evening with our fabulous in country guides Nar, Raj and Kamel. The ever generous Nar, showered the students with Nepali gifts to keep as a memory of their trip. An unforgettable day!
