We got ourselves a little situation across the pond there girls...

Never a dull moment is there? Creatives, artists, singers, performers and makers...we're curating an evening of work to give voice & expression to what's unfolding in the US and we need YOU to contribute, to help us collectively process and make sense as Wade vs Roe is overturned in multiple states across America.

We can't begin to imagine what our American sisters are feeling, but we're feeling it too. Let's channel our collective rage, confusion and fear into something, coming together in Unity and hope, to dream of a better world for ourselves, our children and each other.

We're looking for short pieces for a 90 minute event from anyone and everyone -

- short plays
- song
- poetry/spoken word
- interpretive dance? (whatever way you're called to move sis, we're here for it...).

Meet Christopher played by Michael Sinclair 😍

Michael is an actor and teacher based in Manchester. He trained at the Lecoq School in Paris and co-founded the company Square Peg Theatre (). He has mostly been working behind the scenes as a director and theatre-maker and is currently a Principle Lecturer at ICTheatre () teaching movement for actors. However he is turning his attention back towards the stage where it belongs and he is excited to be working with as an actor once again.

🤖 Meet Beth played by Victoria Tunnah.

Victoria is a working class performer, writer and founder of . She has a passion for creating exciting, fresh stories and roles for and about women and took a break from acting to focus on writing ✍🏾 and she’s had enough encouragement to keep going. Her work’s been produced by Up Ere Productions (Smoking In Bed), shortlisted by & long listed by (SHADE QUEEN). As a performer she recently worked with on their immersive experience ’MATES,’ and spent a week with on their ‘Change Your Lens’ programme. She says ‘Robot is a celebration of silliness, our dreams turning into nightmares, the looming fear of A.I and rapid acceleration of Life, the fear of losing of control, all sorts. Mostly I just want an audience to have fun with it, get lose in the story and come a long for the ride.’

Meet Cynthia - played by Prue Griffiths.

We're delighted to have Prue join us on this project as she's passionate about great roles for older women and co-founded Root & Branch productions to address this. She's performed with them and other great companies across the North since taking the leap into acting in her fifties, thinking 'sod it' after a lifetime dreaming about it. After a period of study with Si Trinder (RSC, The Globe) and Daniel Bradford Mindfulact, she's now happily treading the boards up and down the country.

Meet Karina played by Stacey Coleman

Stacey's one half of In Parallel Productions, she's a Manchester based actor and creative. She trained in London and LA and has recently toured the North West with 'In Parallel Productions' comedy two hander Parallel Lives and is currently involved in numerous North West based theatre and film projects. She is passionate about the North and its creative community, especially work championing Northern women, so could not be more thrilled to be working with the powerhouse that is Bluestocking Theatre!

And we're thrilled to have her!
