I got to mix with some fabulous people, show off my handy-work and even got to meet the highly esteemed Tim Peake

Aside from raising brand awareness I really enjoyed meeting a few of my lovely clients face to face for the first time!

This weekend I’ll be at the South Downs Dinner and Auction, supporting the South Downs National Park Trust at Arundel Castle.

The South Downs National Park Trust aim to see more land managed for wildlife, more rare habitats protected, more local communities thriving and more people able to access and enjoy their National Park.

We’ll be celebrating the wines of Great Britain and one of my handmade boxes will be auctioned off to help raise money!

One of the loveliest parts of being a maker of luxury gifts is receiving heartfelt thanks from happy customers, here's a card from a little while ago now but couldn't help resharing!

The back story always fascinates me. This particular box was created as a memory of the client's childhood, climbing the hills in Lancashire. This was Pendle Hill. Notorious for being the residing place of the Lancashire (or Pendle) Witches: The trials of the Pendle witches in 1612 are among the most famous witch trials in English history, and some of the best recorded of the 17th century. The twelve accused lived in the area surrounding Pendle Hill in Lancashire, and were charged with the murders of ten people by the use of witchcraft.

Content gone wrong…

Late last year, I embarked on a 600-mile journey to the Cairngorms for a first-ever snapshot of my work in context (that’s over 500 boxes!) – only to realise I’d brought the wrong part of the mountains! 😅
Trekking 4 hours to Cairngorm’s summit, sometimes, the adventure is in the unexpected twists!

Funnily enough, I am normally a stickler for attention to detail and I can’t believe I took the wrong box with me. Rest assured, all my boxes are made meticulously and clients are involved in every step of the sign-off process.
