What does it look like when someone is actually trapped and panicking underwater? This is not a soft, floaty tank image. Jess fully committed and gave me a real underwater scream, and that changed everything about the shot. 😬

I pushed it further by placing her into stone so it feels more like confinement than a studio setup. This is definitely a situation you do not get out of easily. I hope it conveys the emotion behind the image!

Would you step closer… or walk the other way if you saw this waiting ahead of you? I keep circling back to the idea of things that should be still suddenly feeling like they are not. This one leans hard into that… like it might shift if you blink at the wrong moment ☠️

It is funny what pulls you back into creating again. Not logic, not planning… just something that clicks and refuses to let go. This one did that for me, and I am not entirely convinced it is finished with me yet 🐉

Well, well, well... for the first time in what feels like forever, I’ve got a whole week and weekend with no bookings on the calendar. Not a single shoot, judging session, or event.

That means it’s time to catch up on family time, finally get round to those neglected tasks, and maybe even have a cuppa without a camera in my hand for once. If you’ve been waiting on a message back from me or a print to be sorted, now’s a good time, I’m finally catching up!

The next one out of the vault! 🔥 Following up from the first image I shared, here’s another shot from the incredible post-apocalyptic shoot hosted by Harriet SFX. Mercia Storm absolutely owns this character, from the war paint to the battle-worn club. This kind of shoot is what I love, raw, intense, and full of texture. Can’t wait to share more!

First image processed from an incredible post-apocalyptic shoot hosted by Harriet SFX. The model is Mark, who brought serious intensity and character to the concept. This session gave me room to experiment with texture, tone, and cinematic mood, and I’m really happy with how this one landed.

Plenty more coming soon from this set, each model brought a unique energy that deserves its own space. Let me know what you think.

📸 Recent Adventures at the British Ironwork Centre 🛡️
I had the pleasure of visiting the British Ironwork Centre recently, a sculpture park filled with incredible iron creations, from surrendered weapons turned into powerful statements like the Knife Angel, to majestic animals and awe-inspiring fantasy sculptures.
This particular image features one of their stunning orc statues, one of my favourites from the entire visit. I loved creating this shot, but please note this image is not for sale.
If you ever get the chance to visit, I highly recommend it! There's so much to see, and their afternoon tea in the café is a real treat. 🍰☕️

This was such a fun shoot—I even crafted the staff myself from a broomstick and a plastic Halloween skull! Blade Williams delivered some fantastically sinister expressions, bringing this powerful necromancer to life. Do you dare wield the Staff of Power? 💀✨
