Broadway First School is expanding its Laugh ‘N’ Learn Nursery provision for babies and children from 9 months old.

The governors of Broadway First School are looking for enthusiastic, passionate and highly committed Nursery Practitioner to contribute to this new chapter for the school. Our Nursery Practitioner will ideally hold a minimum of a Level 2 approved qualification together with experience of working in a nursery setting with babies and toddlers. You will have a secure knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage recognising your responsibilities towards Safeguarding, Special Educational Needs and other legislative requirements for working with young children. You will have a strong commitment to leading and delivering high-quality care to young people and be able to demonstrate the school’s ethos and values within the setting through your daily work.

This week saw our fantastic Year 5 Leavers’ production of Rapunzel and the Barber Shop Bros. It was an absolutely brilliant performance, with the children’s talent shining through from start to finish. The Year 5 pupils impressed everyone with their confidence, enthusiasm and stage presence, while our Year 3 and Year 4 pupils did an amazing job supporting the show and waiting patiently in the wings for their cues.
It was a truly wonderful evening that showcased the hard work, dedication and teamwork of all involved. Mrs Adams, Miss Boulton and Ms Langford were incredibly proud of every child who took part. Well done to all our performers for making it such a memorable and enjoyable night! 👏🎭⭐

🌟 A Wonderful Week of Learning Across the School! 🌟
🚤
Our Class 1 children became young engineers this week as they designed and built their own boats. They explored boat capacity and investigated which materials were most effective at helping their creations stay afloat. Alongside this, the children showed their care for the environment by creating colourful and creative 'Save Our Oceans' posters, raising awareness about the importance of protecting our seas and marine life. 🌊💙
➗ Class 2
This week, Diamond Class successfully completed their maths unit on multiplication and division. The children have impressed us with their growing confidence and excellent mathematical skills. In Science, they enjoyed a fascinating 'Magic Milk' experiment, using milk, food colouring and washing-up liquid to create an exciting reaction. It was a brilliant opportunity to explore scientific enquiry while having lots of fun! 🧪🌈
🎭 Class 4
Rehearsals for our upcoming performance have continued throughout the week, and the children have been working incredibly hard. From learning lines to perfecting songs and routines, their dedication and enthusiasm have been wonderful to see. We are nearly performance-ready and look forward to showcasing all of their hard work and talent next week! ⭐👏
