FRAME London FRAME London are conservation framers for artists, galleries, museums and collectors. We’re a family-run business that started in 2014.

Based in the heart of Hackney, our team is made up of highly skilled craftspeople who are either artists themselves, or have a history in the museum and heritage sector. We specialise in the highest quality museum-standard framing techniques, which means that your artwork will be beautifully preserved for years to come. From designing, cutting and sanding to joining, staining and fitting — we offer a bespoke service where every detail is meticulously considered. Above all, our process is creative, approachable and completely tailored to you, no matter what size your project is. If you’d like to discuss your framing needs in detail, please contact us for a consultation. [email protected]

Lucy Dodd’s The good, the true and the beautiful at Sprüth Magers, London, brings together mythology, landscape and the cosmic.

Created following Dodd’s move to Scotland’s Moray Coast, the works incorporate materials gathered from her surroundings, including burnt peat from the Dava Moor wildfires, alongside copper ink, spirulina, cochineal, local herbs and powdered meteorite.

Dodd’s richly worked surfaces explore nature, renewal, climate and our changing relationship with the world around us.

✨ A new chapter for FRAME ✨

More views from our new studio workshop at 19–23 White Lion Street in Islington—the former home of Darbyshire. Darbyshire Ltd

This workshop has a long history of exceptional framing, fabrication and collaboration with artists. We are proud to be welcoming some members of the Darbyshire team to FRAME, bringing valuable knowledge and experience into our growing studio.

From our new home, FRAME will continue to develop its own approach: thoughtful design, exceptional making and conservation-led care for artworks. Over the coming weeks, we’ll share more of the space, the people behind the work and the specialist capabilities it will make possible.

We look forward to welcoming you to White Lion Street soon!

Just on the Edge: Exploring the Deanna Petherbridge Archive, now on at the Paul Mellon Centre Paul Mellon Centre for Studies in British Art

This lovely celebrates the acquisition of the Deanna Petherbridge Archive, bringing together the archive with a selection of original drawings.

Curated by Hannah Jones, with works lent by the Artistic Estate of Deanna Petherbridge and the Katrin Bellinger Collection ➡️

We were delighted to frame works for the display, which explores Petherbridge’s remarkable practice and her complex relationship with the British art world.

Having worked with Deanna on previous exhibitions, it was a privilege to see the archive and gain a deeper insight into the legacy of this remarkable artist.

🗓️On until 29th October 2026
📍Paul Mellon Centre, WC1B 3JA

In case you missed it! We have a new address - but what is not changing are our standards and routines. Including our weekly glue cooking for our conservation-grade Japanese hinging.

We’ve moved into a new FRAME London workshop and studio - purpose designed to support the next chapter of our practice.

While our surroundings have changed, our approach remains the same: thoughtful conservation framing, museum-grade materials, expert craftsmanship and a deep respect for every artwork entrusted to us.

We can’t wait to share more from our new space! Contact us now to book your appointment.
