Fine Art Gallery situated in the heart of London's Art District A Constantly changing program of solo exhibitions by gallery artists.

The house specialty is Scottish painting of the 20th & 21st Centuries but also represent painters from Australia and North America. We exclusively represent the British painters Susan Ryder RP NEAC, Simon Quadrat PPRWA NEAC and Luke Martineau and the Scottish painter Donald MacDonald

We also have a second premises in London, just a ten minute walk from our main premises.

This week our Cecil Court gallery has been transported back to post war London and is temporarily the second hand book shop of Gabriel Book. Created by and starring the wonderful Mark Gatiss, 'Bookish' airs Season Two tonight at 8pm on Sky, Virgin Media, and NOW. If you know, as they say, you know. ⁠⁠
It has been a surreal experience watching our cosy little gallery transformed so completely, although I feel our normal look is more 1940s than 2020s anyway. ⁠
Very impressed with the team at who made it all happen as if by magic.⁠⁠
As I'm sitting by a river in Wales I've missed all the fun but here are a few snaps courtesy of Tiffany and . There are lots more online via for those of you who are regular visitors.⁠⁠

Dreaming of a Summer shore here in Pall Mall as we're surrounded by a fresh collection of oil paintings by our old friend Charles Simpson. Two dozen gorgeous landscapes, still lifes and coastal views by one of Scotland's best known traditional painters. Charles is a product of that well known Scottish talent factory the Glasgow School of Art, studying there in the 1970s before sensibly pursuing a proper career in graphic design. In later years he moved to the Scottish borders to return to painting fulltime and since the early nineties his landscapes of the fields around his home and the beaches along the West Coast have been much in demand. The exhibition runs until 26th June and can be viewed on line now.⁠ ⁠

The catalogue for our next show in Pall Mall has now dropped, as they say, and Luke Martineau's new collection of plein air oils painted on a recent trip along the Nile are selling fast.⁠⁠
The artist Luke Martineau writes of his latest painting trip - ⁠⁠
"Before our trip to the Nile in February this year, my knowledge of Egypt was a sketchy patchwork of Tutankhamun, quotes from Antony and Cleopatra and a poorly-grasped smattering of C20th history. The trip was proposed prior to the arrival of US carrier groups in the region, and in those more innocent times, focussing rather on things like what we’d be eating and the ‘facilities’ in our rooms, I just hoped we would avoid that kind of debacle. In a way though, lack of knowledge is no impediment to artistic production- in fact I think all that really matters is the romantic pull of the subject matter. And in that respect, Egypt, and specifically the banks of the beautiful Nile, delivered spectacularly. I hope my 40 oils bear witness to the excitement I felt looking at everything around me, and that they have brought back home something of the wonderful warmth of Egypt.⁠"⁠⁠
Illustrated is 'Feluccas on the Nile II' an oil on board measuring 15 x 17 ins in its hand made gold leaf and gesso frame. Currently available at £2,250 inc VAT⁠⁠
