We are hosting a number of printmaking sessions as Saturday drop in events.
The first of these was geli plate printing on Saturday 6th June. One is scheduled for 5th September in monoprint, and one on 5th December will be Lino cut (festive themed).
Please note these are free events, so not formally taught. They are also an opportunity to find out more about Printshare including membership options, and to ask any questions about printmaking processes.

Who's got that Friday feeling? That's because it's Printfest Ulverston weekend!
So much to see this weekend around , with the Printfest Exhibition in the Coro, and Printfest Fringe at 14 venues around the town - including Printshare Studio and Gallery open the whole weekend too 😉

This print by Anna Litchfield is on sale in our gallery alongside 14 other local artists and makers.

Visit us at Printfest Ulverston Fringe this weekend!

Printshare Studio & Gallery will be open during the Printfest weekend as part of the Printfest Fringe. Pop in to see our shared studio and gallery selling orginal prints, cards and gifts by our members.
You can pick up a free Fringe map at Printshare Gallery and other participating venues around Ulverston to find out more about fabulous creativity happening locally!

We've added 2 more workshops for Spring-Summer...

📣 Collagraph, Saturday 23rd May - A textural printmaking technique where collaged materials are applied to a cardboard plate.

📣 Linocut, Saturday 13th June - Linocut is a relief printmaking technique where a design is cut into a linoleum surface with sharp knives, chisels and gouges.

All workshops take place in Printshare Studio & Gallery in the centre of Ulverston, Cumbria. All are taught by our members in a friendly relaxed environment, and are suitable for beginners, or those wanting to try their hand at a new printmaking technique.

We are not-for-profit and all proceeds from workshops and activities will support us to run and develop the studio, gallery, equipment and facilities for local artists. Concessions available for students and those on low income. Any questions, get in touch!

One space has just become available for our 3 Week Linocut Evening Course starting next Wednesday 4th March! If you fancy learning how to make linocut prints this might be for you...

Fancy trying Geli Plate printing?
April 4th 10am - 12pm

Join Jess levine artist for a playful workshop to learn how to make one off, abstract prints without the use of a press.

Using a soft geli plate, acrylic paint and a selection of natural and manmade materials, the technique encourages a loose and painterly approach with unexpected results. Adding different colours and found/natural/manmade textures allows printmakers to discover spontaneity and playfulness!
