The proposed 2025 edition of MADE IN ALTANDHU festival has been moved to 2026, for which plans are already taking place. See second page for info and ticket links.
While the inaugural event, held in August of last year, was a success, it has become apparent that logistically, and financially, moving the festival to 2026 is the best and indeed only move to ensure everything is in place to guarantee another great weekend of Summer Music at The Summer Isles.
Additionally, with no Grant or Council support forthcoming, and rising costs across the boards, the reality is organising and costing for a unique, out-of-town event such as this every year is, currently, not viable.
However, the move may well bode well for the festival’s future, with Mundell Music hoping the event can become a bi-annual fixture on the Scottish music festival calendar.

While there are many bigger festivals each year covering vast areas of land, for unspoiled views, glorious scenery and the chance to be far from the maddening (and massive festival) crowds, it’s hard to beat the Made in Altandhu Micro Festival, situated on the Port a Bhaigh Campsite in Altandhu, Achiltibuie.
The Campsite sits on the coast of the beautiful north western highlands of Scotland, with the Summer Isles as the stunning backdrop.
While the campsite lends itself to such an “indoors but outdoors” event, festival goers will not be committed to staying at the campsite – there are a good number of alternatives nearby, including chalet and cottage accommodations, hostels, B&B’s and the Summer Isles Hotel, all situated between Reiff, a couple of miles north west of the campsite, and along the route to the town of Ullapool, twenty-five miles south east.
Folklore tells that when the Spanish Armada sailed past the Summer Isles, they deposited treasure on one of the islands, which remains undiscovered.
While campers and event attendees might not be able to search or find such treasure, there will be a host of musical gems to be had at Port a Bhaigh in the summer of 2026!
