Meet Sir Owain

Quick witted and always eager to prove himself, especially to the ladies, Sir Owain is always first in line to help any damsel in distress.
If you’re a fair maiden looking for a knight in shining armour to rescue you from a high tower, or from the clutches of a dragon, then he’s your man!

I’ve add a few extra bits since the first photo shoot (a sword frog and buckle for the shield)

Sir Owain will be coming with me to find his forever home at the Karen Kay's Faery Events Fayre in Glastonbury in October.

Meet Sir Fergus, the standard bearer.

Known for his strength, tactical navigation skills, and excellent communication, you can rely on Fergus to keep a clear head in battle, and to lead the troops in the right direction.
He is a beacon and source of encouragement for all the troops, and is proud to carry the flag into battle.

Sir Fergus will be coming with me to find his forever home at the Karen Kay's Faery Events in Glastonbury in October.

I love adding all the tiny details to my characters to help them tell their stories.
Sir Archibald has an old and well used ear trumpet, a marching drum, and drumsticks where his sword should be.

Here is his story:
Sir Archibald used to be quite the fighter in his prime, but after suffering a nasty bump to the head which left him a little deaf and dizzy, he switched his sword and shield for a drum and drumsticks - not a bad plan as with a sword he was a danger to himself and everyone else!

He says that he doesn’t enjoy fighting anymore (probably because he’s not very good at it), and that his job is to now boost morale.

The other knights are quite happy for him to lead the march into battle, as long as he marches far ahead.
He makes such a noise that he often scares the enemy away before the fight has even begun!
Being a little hard of hearing (and very tone deaf), he’s completely unaware of the awful noise he creates.

My faerie knights have been have their dress fitting. Their surcoats, bearing the golden acorn crest, have been measured, fitted, and aged, and they’re starting to look quite smart.
Next they need to be fitted with their armoury collars, arm bracers and boots.
I can’t wait for you to see the finished results.

It’s been a busy week but these little knights are finally starting to get their mail and armour, starting with their custom fitted helmets.
It’s a slow process, especially in this heat!

Went for a walk by the Uffington Horse, and Wayland’s Smithy long barrow a few days ago. It was a beautiful spring day and there were so many inspiring things to see, feel and hear. Here is a small glimpse into our day

WIP…

Not much to show here at the moment. I’ve had a busy few days out and about, so haven’t had much chance to sit at my desk.
today I’ve made a start giving this bunch their bodies and undergarments, two are still just skeletons- look away!!! 🫣🫣😂

Once I finish the bodies of the two at the back, I can start the fun bit of painting and clothing them.
This is when they really come to life. I can’t wait for that bit!

Made from Sculpey living doll polymer clay, wire, wool, fabric, glue, needle and thread 🥰🥰🥰
